Pledoo Casino Review Jump to comments
Pledoo Casino is an online gaming site launched in 2021. Gaming is available in over dozen languages and players in all regulated jurisdictions are welcome to apply for a free membership by registering to play for real money.
Pledoo is owned and operated by MOMUS2006 N.V. and utilizes a Curacao gaming license in order to provide services to players across most of the globe. The gambling venue has a single sister site as of review time - Bet it All. Both portals enjoy very good reputations with no valid complaints to be found anywhere.
Thousands of games from nearly 100 studios
Look for nearly 4,000 slot titles, plenty of RNG table games, and a rich liver dealer suite at this crypto and fiat-friendly gaming venue. There are at least 80 different studios and developers contributing cutting-edge gambling entertainment to the lobbies here.
Ownership and shares in online operations tend to change from time to time but as long as management reputation remains the same or increases in player value it’s not something the average player needs to be concerned about. In full transparency, we like to look as deeply as we can in order to provide a better unbiased and critical review of all properties.
The operating company registered with the Curacao Chamber of Commerce in 2016 and a similarly named company also incorporated in the UK - the difference being the company suffixes - N.V to indicate Netherland Antilles (now Curacao) and LP to indicate a limited partnership in the United Kingdom.
The good news is that we don’t need to chip away at any bedrock to determine the associations based on those filings and the better news is that all previous associations are with high-quality gaming sites with very good to excellent reputations. However, since we can’t determine with certainty that any of the principles we believe own the operation are still associated with the other known casino, it wouldn’t be fair or proper to mention them, except in referring to their standing in the community with all complaints over the years resolved.
Fair banking for everyone, everywhere
Banking here is made easy for players in diverse regions by cryptocurrencies but not everyone uses BTC or LTC, etc., so there are plenty of other options - some country-specific and others, familiar to players everywhere. Look for Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) options like N26 (voted the best bank in the world in 2021), Direct Banking for Europe and beyond, specific methods for Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil, along with all internationally accepted debit and credit cards.
Note: With so many options for banking, all deposits incur a fixed $1 fee to help defer the cost for some of the more expensive options and make it fair for all players.
While we don’t find an active representative on any of the major player advocacy forums, Pledoo is rated very high by players on the sites that rank operators by consumer satisfaction. There are very few low-level complaints (grumbles, grouses, or moans) save one player from Romania that mentioned that some bonuses were not available to players there, and another player in Greece that said bank wires to their country were slower than they would like.
The majority of comments were glowing and spoke of quick document verification and fast payouts.
"I like that casino. Quick KYC verification, payout for 2k € took about 1 hour."
"Withdrawals are crazy fast. Was funny i reached out to support to ask an update on my withdrawal after 10 minutes of submitting it, and they replied "will pay you out now" and the money was on my LTC in a few minutes…"
"One of the best casino I ever played. Large withdrawal amounts in one hour.
While the ratio of pro-to-con comments was about 10:1, all things should be considered so we’ll accurately paraphrase a couple of those for you from various review sites:
- A player who spoke of great game variety, good and attractive bonuses, and mentioned that all of their transactions occurred quickly - They would like to see higher withdrawal limits and more bonuses. Games from some providers were not available in their country.
From a player who received their withdrawal “Very fast” - They didn’t feel that customer support was fast enough but mentioned they didn’t have issues that required it.
Not all games are available in all countries.
While this could more properly fit below under “Software and Games” this is also a good time to mention it due to one of the grumbles above.
While parsing the Terms and Conditions for country restrictions etc., we noticed that each game provider is listed with its own restrictions. The platform engineers have done something quite remarkable that shows their dedication to excellence and attention to detail. A complicated array of rules seems to be programmed into the Geo-location element of the HTML5 instant play, browser-based framework. I’ll explain…
Some international gaming sites will simply geo-block players in certain countries if the bulk of their game portfolio is not available due to any number of reasons - it’s usually that the game provider has deals with regulators and promises not to provide its games to certain jurisdictions.
Take Canada for example. All providers were available at all offshore casinos several years ago. As the Crown Corp/Lottery operators brought on big players (NetEnt etc) for their online operations, those providers were forbidden to offer their games to offshore operators serving the particular provincial market. When the province of Ontario opened up to “free-market” gaming in 2022 most international publically held companies forbade offshore operators to offer their games to players in Ontario (unless at a locally licensed site). Many providers and operators still offer services in the “grey area” which is everywhere in Canada except Ontario.
It would appear that the geo-location software here works in tandem with some 80 suppliers to only offer games that are permitted in a certain region.
That was easy to do a few years ago when gaming sites carried a small handful of developers’ content - but the stealth beauty of creating and executing rules about 4,000 different games from 80 different providers for players in as many as 100 different jurisdictions is simply brilliant - for you!
If you don’t see a game by Light and Wonder or IGT, you probably won’t miss it since you still have thousands to choose from. The website is not only responsive to whether you are playing on a desktop with HD high-resolution screen or a handheld in portrait or landscape mode - it’s responsive to your particular situation based on your location - everything is adjusted to you so you don’t have to adjust to it.
At this point we’ve done enough of a deep dive into the background and current operation, licensing, and customer satisfaction to feel comfortable suggestiing that experienced players who always review Terms and Conditions when joining a new site will be just fine here if they want to visit and look in the nooks and crannies themselves.
For those who would like to come along with us for a detailed review, we’ll continue our exploration. Please feel free to skip around guided by the headers to find an area of particular interest such as software and games, bonuses and promotions, banking and customer services - a bulleted list of potential pitfalls, or our final word on gaming at Pledoo Casino.
Software and Games
As we mentioned earlier, the website seems to be highly “trained” in only presenting the games a visitor can actually play. We only did one confirmation, which worked from a desk in Canada where licensing rules are some of the most complicated thanks to one province having free market regulation and the rest operating in a gray zone with players free to gamble anywhere they want to offshore or at the “lottery casinos”. Thos operators are actually Crown corporations - in essence, government owned public/private partnerships.
From a desk in Vancouver we were not able to find an Authentic Gaming live dealer lobby or games in the main suite. AG via Pledoo T&C lists Canada as a “regulated territory”, so their games would presumably only be at provincial lottery operator at sites licensed in that territory or at a free market site regulated in Ontario by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Scientific Games acquired Authentic Gaming in November 2021 before the lottery business was split off under the Scientific name and online casino development and other related assets were rebranded as Light and Wonder.
Another seemingly minor feature of the site is that when you click on Terms and Conditions you aren’t taken to a new page - rather a printable version-marked PDF copy of the current terms appears. There is also a dropdown menu listing all previous iterations of the gambling contract along with the dates each version was in force.
All important supporting pages are handled the same way including “About Us”, Bonus Terms, Fair Play, Responsible Gambling, Game providers, etc.
While minor in the big scheme of things, it just shows the attention to detail designers have put into the user experience. It strikes a nice balance between making all things easy while not necessarily holding your hand too much.
Navigation, filtering, and sorting
Another area this platform shines in is accessibility. Everything you need or want to know is right at your fingertips.
To find a game of your liking simply choose the type of game, a category or collection, or a provider to see the filtered choices. SImple game types include slots, table games, live dealers, etc., while the choice among categories is wide and deep.
To illustrate, imagine you want to play an Asian-themed slot. Choosing Asia from the category list will bring up a plethora of dragons, caishens, gardens, etc. from there you can flip the “switch” adjacent to the text search box and choose a provider. We chose Amusenet Interactive (EGT) and the only two games wee see from the thousands available are Empress Charm and Kamakura - two superb games with Asia-centric themes and European bonus mechanics.
Personally I prefer Asian-made slots with Asia-centric bonus mechanics but there simply isn’t a way to point players to those games using the existing database filters and sorting. That said, it’s second nature to be able to find Egyptian themes, Pirates, Vikings, etc. There are also special categories related to the latest holidays or season, and specific categories for High Roller games and cluster pays.
Look for the following additional categories to fit your custom lobby to your interests or moods:
- Megaways
- Branded
- Weekly Tops
- Scratch cards
- Book of…
- Table games
- Baccarat
- Blackjack
- Roulette
- Video poker
- More
If you see a game icon you might like you can hover over it to reveal the game maker (provider) and to be presented with a choice to play or try the demo mode.
Rather than simply sitting on a grid in static display, many of the game icons are animated with interesting things going on in the foreground or in the background. It’s just another little touch that makes this site stand out. Visitors may not consciously notice all of the “little things” but they all add up to create a superior experience in this reviewer’s opinion.
Moving along to the Pledoo’s Choice screen we find scads of engaging and potentially profitable titles from a variety of providers. In my opinion it’s a well curated selection.
Please see the following games at the top of the Choice page and see if you agree…
- Jammin' Jars 2
PushGaming - Gonzo's Treasure Hunt
Evolution Gaming - Gems Bonanza
PragmaticPlay - Templar Tumble
Relax - Sweet Bonanza Xmas
PragmaticPlay - Mystery Museum
PushGaming - Legacy of Dead
PlaynGo - John Hunter and the Book of Tut Respin
PragmaticPlay - Chicken Drop
PragmaticPlay - Fat Drac
PushGaming - Gemix 2
PlaynGo
This filter also works with the “providers” filter so you can choose the category, “Pleddo’s Choice” and then further refine to display by selecting one or more providers. Being particularly fond of SPinomenal games, that’s the provider I chose and ended up with the following selection to choose from…
- Retro Treasures
- Retro Pumpkin
- Dark Reels
- 1 Reel Halloween
- Book Of Rampage
- African Drum
- Gangster's Gold
- Story Of The Samurai
I guess you can tell what time of year we visited by some of the curated games. Another nice little hands-on touch from the designers - even if it is an algorithm selecting the games, which I don’t imagine it is. In the end, does it matter as long as a site is so responsive to the real world that it crafts a superior experience for each and every player every time they visit?
Megaways Games
When we visited we found an impressive 144 Megaways titles - that may not be every single game on the market licensed to use Big Time Gaming’s revolutionary game mechanic, but there wasn’t a single game that came to mind for me that I didn’t find in the catalog.
Feature buy games
Since the vast majority of Megaways games also allow players to buy the feature, you’ll find hundreds of titles in the feature buy category with the addition of other games that have been designed with the mechanic or have retrofitted a it into a classic title.
Look for Hold the Jackpot, Infinity Reels, RockWays, DoubleMax, Hold and Spin, MaxWays, GigaBlox, Extreme 4, and many more super bonus feature mechanics. Jump to the front of the line instead of spinning until he hit it to get it.
Please note - if you are playing on a bonus and do a feature buy you will likely surpass the max bet limit and annihilate any profits you were accumulating as all winnings go to bonus balance (sticky) and violating terms will wipe the bonus balance. Forewarned is forearmed.
Branded games
This category is the only clunker we find on the entire lobby or sub-lobbies. To me, a branded games is something like Playboy, or Spiderman, or Basic Instinct - it is a game that has been licensed to display a common commercial name like Lord of the Rings, Tombraider, or HitMan. That’s not what we find here.
Dragon Champions from Playtech; ThunderStruck II and Immortal Romance by Microgaming, and Book of Adventure Super Stake, Book of Leo, and Wild Stallion from Stakelogic.
Live dealers
The live casino here is jammed full of top games by several internationally recognized providers with studios spread from Malta to Riga, Latvia and beyond. From our desk in Canada the following providers appeared in our live lobby:
- Amusenet
- Evolution
- Pragmatic Live
- SA Gaming
- Ezugi
- LuckyStreak
Not counting the unknown number of games behind portals that linked to various provider lobbies - we found 199 tables on the main page alone. Evolution is the undisputed heavyweight champion of live gaming but Pragmatic Live has done a great job of converting NOVOMATIC’s for Extreme Live Gaming into a real contender. Both providers, as well as Ezugi list plenty of native language tables for players all over the world.
Several providers offer games in Hindi and games that folks in India are accustomed to playing such as Andar Bahar and Teen Patti to name just two.
Table limits run the gamut from less than a euro to absolute high roller stakes.
Bonuses and Promotions
When we visited Pledoo we found a generous welcome package as well as reloads. The introductory bonus ran through the course of four deposits with various percentage matches.
As it is in other sections of the website, fresh information was presented as an overlay with a clear path to all pertinent information.
While the marketing department here didn't exactly try to foist off a collection of percentages as single value - it comes a little too close for comfort and is the first instance anywhere in the our examination so far that gave me pause.
Across four deposits of various values that would add up to 370 in a world where percentages are added together, part of the pitch reads as follows: "Have 370% of fun in our casino — that’s the exact amount you will receive in bonuses."
Well, sure, perhaps it is - but of course, it's not. Discounting the maximum bonus amount for easier math we can see that 100% of €/$100 is €/$100 and 70% of €/$100 is €/$70, and 50% of €/$100 is €/$50, and finally 150% of €/$100 is €/$150 - for total deposits of €/$400 and total bonuses of €/$370 - less than 100%, not 3.7x as much. Geez. The overall bonus is 92.5%, not 370% (370/400).
Now, we'll have to look very close at any term that seems even a little "iffy" thanks to a single instance of marketing pushing compliance and continuity to the side. One bad statement must raise doubts - there's no other way forward. Thankfully we’ve been deep inside the T&C, operating history, and every other important element and that is the only glitch to be found… so far.
Let’s see if there are any governors, limiters, or other anything to quash players’ hopes of a fun time in a safe environment with the ability to win whatever they win - you know, any deviance in the basic gambling contract of a bet laid is a bet to be paid!
Whew!
I may not like the limitations but they are very clear and they don’t affect a player’s ability to get as rich as they happen to be lucky on any given day. Below each bonus offer is a link to open the terms. Here’s what we found as they relate to the welcome package:
- The most you can win (infinity sign)
- The most you can bet per spin - €/$3 (can’t exceed €/$0.30 per line)
- How long you have to complete wagering - 3 days
- Slots contribution to wagering requirements - 100% (with a caveat)
The caveat is that the commonly found 200 or so games that don’t count toward wagering are listed here. Do you want the good news about that? The operator tells us why!
I had mistakenly assumed in the past that it was a raft of very high volatility and very low volatility games - and that may be true but that’s not the reason they are excluded from wagering requirements. They are not counted because each one of them has RTP 97.5% and more. You may have known that, I didn’t. I love learning new things! We’ll leave it to your imagination what to do with a list of about 200 popular games with very high theoretical return to player percentages.
Cashback
Minimum cashback that can be awarded is €/$10
The most that can be cashed out after wagering is 10x cashback amount.
Strike 2, but they are tiny fouls for sure. If there are wagering requirements and a limit on the amount you can cash out when you win using the funds - it is not cashback, it’s a second chance bonus. Cash is fungible - a dollar/pound/euro is a dollar/pound/euro - it’s immutable. Bonuses are non-fungible - a buck is worth what it’s worth when you are informed of it’s worth. Here a bonus buck is worth anywhere from €/$0 to €/$10 depending on your luck but never more.
Loyalty scheme
To be fair, cashback given as part of the loyalty program may be fungible, cashable, and unencumbered. This is secret knowledge only imparted upon those in the know. I think you have to join to find out, nobody would tell me anything. It’s okay to leave a single thread of mystery with so much easily attainable information.
Banking and Customer Service
We’ll keep this section brief. You can see al of the deposit, withdrawal, and in/out options on a drop down of our side menu. Suffice to say there is a way for everyone to get their money in and out of the casino here.
All fiat deposits (€/$10 minimum) are charged a flat fee of €/$1 to process.
All withdrawals are fee-free except bank transfers under €/$200 which are charged a flat fee of €/$25.
Withdrawals are processed within 24 hours - often much quicker. eWallets, Cryptos etc., are paid out immediately. Other methods may take 1-3 days to appear in your financial institution account.
Withdrawal floors and ceilings are dependent upon method with most cryptos listed as 1 - 100,000
In addition to a one of the best varieties of European banking methods I have ever seen, separate sections and limits exist for LATAM players, specifically Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil. All Latin American payments are free of fees.
Customer service is available to help with any issue or question. Unfortunately there is n telephone listed and live chat was not available when we visited. A contact form is provided along with a simple but fairly comprehensive FAQ.
Pitfalls
- Odd marketing math (adding bonus percentages together for a foul)
- Cashback has wagering requirements and a max cash out (10x)
- No telephone support
- Low KYC triggers (€/$1,000 win, €/$2000 in transactions)
The Final Word
Pledoo Casino offers players the world over an excellent assortment of well curated slots, table games, and live dealer feeds. As a gambling venue, it’s not a facade for someone’s personal ATM - a bet laid is a bet paid and there is no limit to the amount you can win with a clean deposit or a percentage match bonus. In other words, this is a real casino with thousands of certified and accredited games along with clever and cool ways to find them and sort them.
The banking center is one of the most robust and competent we have ever seen and the banking terms make sense - “give us a day to check all the boxes and we’ll pay you right away,” I like that.
I also like the bonuses but that is not what draws me here personally - the terms are tough but fair. I wouldn’t be inclined to activate one unless I was in the mood for extended playtime, and to low-roll a bunch of new games I have never tried before - and there are plenty among the 4,000 or so titles I have never played.
The bonus terms just don’t fit my style of playing. I’m not interested in being throttled to no more than €/$0.30 per line or €/$3 per spin - when I get a wild hair I want to be able to bet three lines at €/$1 each or any other combination I choose. I want to control the volatility when I want to control the volatility. I could live with the €/$ per spin cap, but limit per line? Not so much.
We take the deep dive into all kinds of casino operations and it is always refreshing to find one with such clear terms and conditions, as well as operators known to be straight shooters. Could that change? Yes, you never know who is going to grow a business just enough to flip it like a house renovated, but I’ve never seen one of the assumed owners sites go bad or fall from grace. They are actually players themselves, at least the founders were, I can’t divine the instant owners but it doesn’t matter.
This is definitely an operation that is worthy of my personal trust. If that ever changes I’ll be sure to let you know. Would you be so kind as to let us know what you think of Pledoo after you’ve played for a while or even if you experience the slightest hiccup outside of the terms and conditions? You can help us keep our fellow players up to snuff on the absolute best places to play.
