About the Company
NoLimit City is a Swedish online game developer and provider with offices in Malta. The company was founded in 2014 by the current head of development, Emil Svärd and two co-founders of the ComeOn! casino brand, CTO Jonas Tegman, also of Stockholm and Örpen Kisacikoglu, now of London, UK. The company's games are licensed in Malta and the Caribbean and as of early 2018, expected to be licensed in the UK by the Gambling Commission. Tegman also spent a couple of years in the position of Senior Software Architect at NetEnt from 2006 to 2008.
The company developed their portable system platform for desktop/mobile from the ground up and maintain complete control over the operation. With no dependencies on outside systems, they are able to tailor and deliver features to a small handful of select operators with quick and flexible responses.
Their modular platform is able to easily synch-up with other delivery systems such as EveryMatrix to deliver high definition HTML5 titles. Transactions occur through a server-side API and the Nolimit Java bundle code loads games with optimum flexibility for operators. Their back office offers options for nearly any operator and the team can build a bespoke solution for any challenge they have not run across yet. The promotional component is also dynamic and can provide real-time data in a variety of ways best suited to your program or campaign style.
Players can look for their games such as Creepy Carnival, Oktoberfest, Space Arcade, and Tesla Jolt at leading casinos like SlotsMillion, LeoVegas, Mr Green, and Video Slots.com. In addition to their partnership with EveryMatrix, the company signed a joint partnership deal with the white label and aggregator platform provider, iGaming Platform (iGP). The ease of integration illustrates just how flexible Nolimit's remote gaming server (RGS) platform is as well as iGP's platform compatibility.
Software and Games
The games are developed and deployed in HTML5 so that they can be played on any device, anywhere, at any time with a focus on mobile gaming. Integral to their set-up is a single game ID that allows players to pick up where they left off on any device.
The first release was a promo game in 2017 followed by several video slots with seven new releases mapped out for launch throughout 2018 and into early 2019. More are sure to follow.
Creepy Carnival slot is very well rendered and delivered. The game is high action with winning symbols respinning for up to 3x multipliers with sticky wilds during respins. Twenty extra paylines are added to the reels for up to 50 free spins with 5x multipliers when players land 3 scatters. While the bonus mechanics may seem a little reminiscent of some NetEnt games, the title is quite unique and has a singular exceptional feel to it.
The game seems highly volatile at first, with bigger wins few and far between, but it doesn't take long to eventually land and collect 13 high paying symbols to trigger the Star Spin feature with extra wilds. All in all, it's a very interesting slot with the potential for some big wins.
My only pet peeve is that the player has no control over the spin button during free spins or the respins - which occur often. Other players may not mind, but small 3-game retriggers also happen a lot during free spins, and I'm not one to sit and stare at an electronic device without a sense of participation. However, that's my only gripe and the huge win potential at 5x certainly makes it a game worth playing!
Tesla Jolt is a rousing slots game. Released in early spring 2018, the sound effects are well synchronized with the animations and game events. And, like all of the games we tested, although built for mobile first, simply clicking the Full-Screen icon in the upper right gives players the same crisp graphic elements and jump-off-your-screen electrifying animations. Game events seem to be made even more exciting due to the subdued gameworld with muted browns and dusky blue light coming in through the laboratory window.
The Final Analysis
While NoLimit City may not have a huge catalog of games yet, their games are captivating, enthralling, and exciting not only due to quality products but the obviously brilliant maths behind them.
