Amusnet Interactive
Company Overview
Amusnet Interactive seems to have jumped into the scene out of nowhere in 2022 with hundreds of games ready to play. There is no bigger mystery behind this, as everything is simply explained by rebranding. Before, the company was known as EGT Interactive, which itself is the online arm of the well-known Bulgarian land-based casino supplier EGT (Also known as Euro Games Technology). This in turn has been operating since 2002.
Whilst we will touch on those roots in this review, we’ll keep the core of the article concentrated on the online company, as it operates as a brand of its own. And keeping that in mind, the rebranding wasn’t a simple name change either. The studio has clearly taken a new direction, with the aim of taking full advantage of the new opportunities the era of digital slot gaming offers. Let’s take a look at how that has played out so far.
Gaming Software
As always, casino games need to come with solutions that allow the online casinos to implement them easily into their platform. Amusnet has that handled, even offering their own server solutions that allow simple customisation of games. But as players, that’s not something we’re all that interested about.
Luckily, this has also been taken into account. For example, the company has made it easy for online casinos to grant bonus spins to most of the online slots. Operators are free to build their own campaigns. There’s also an interesting jackpot game, which can be triggered in a variety of games, including Keno. These are all progressive pots. A special mini-game called Egypt Quest is also available via a selection of popular slots.
It’s not the biggest selection of bonuses and promotions, but given the age of the company it’s certainly an interesting set, and something we expect Amusnet to keep on expanding.
Online Slots
This is where the origins of the company really shine through. Sure, you have a couple of games like Lucky Wood, Thumbelinas Dream, and Ice Valley that use ways to win. But for the most part, you’re going to be running across games that use five reels of three symbols each, with paylines crisscrossing through them. It’s the classic way of doing things.
Interestingly enough, the company has recently been pushing out something called Reelways slots. Games like Power Hot and Fruity Time seem to function much like Megaways games, offering hundreds of thousands of ways to calculate winning combinations.
Some Common Characteristics
Online slots that follow the age-old theme of fruits are in high demand at Amusnet, joined by many other familiar symbols. You’ll find it the central characteristic for many of the games. Though obviously, the interface in games like Fruits & Gold, Fruity Time, Hot Deco, Ultimate Hot, and Diamond Plus is otherwise up to the modern standards.
All of the games tend to be rather scarce on bonus features. Usually, what you get is a combination of wilds and scatters, which at times might have functions of their own, with one or two added specials. These are either bonus spins, mystery jackpots, and occasionally things like multipliers.
The RTP generally hovers around 96 %, which is always a good sign. Volatility changes a lot, often actually aiming for the lower end. In these sorts of games the maximum win is usually one to three thousand times the total bet. There are titles, such as Magic Guardians, which aim for the higher end and come with wins 15 000 times the total bet.
Other Online Casino Games
Amusnet is slowly building their live dealer portfolio. For the moment, this is limited to a handful of roulette games. However, they have managed to explore different possibilities by adding extra modifiers, such as Vegas Roulette side bets that lead to wins that are 500 times the bet. If they stay on this course they will certainly be a live casino dealer to keep an eye on.
Roulette is also available in the more traditional online format of automated games. Hopefully, this area of table games will be expanded upon in the future as well. A handful of keno games gives players something else to try out, whilst Joker Poker, Jacks or Better, and other similar video poker titles bring a bit more of that nostalgic gameplay to the forefront.
Conclusion
We must conclude that the rebranding has been completed successfully. Not only has it given the company a new catchy name, but it has moulded the catalogue into something different. The selection of games is sufficiently different from what most other software providers are building to offer a unique gaming experience. We suggest you take a look, especially as the games are widely available.
