About the Company
BGAMING debuted at the ICE Totally Gaming 2018 Exhibition in London in February. SoftSwiss has renamed their proprietary game content in order to fully differentiate it from their online casino management platform. SoftSwiss started out in Belarus as an online auction software developer in 2008 and entered the online gaming business in 2012, unveiling their wares at ICE 2013.
While some companies rebrand themselves due to a poor reputation or to distance themselves from other difficulties, that does not seem to be the case with this company's games division. SoftSwiss will remain as the same company that pioneered Bitcoin and other blockchain casino software. Rebranding their games simply defines one element of their operation. In addition to a new look and new name, they have augmented their talent pool with a host of accomplished innovators, strategic developers, and other specialists recruited internationally from among the top iGaming companies.
While some things have changed, others have remained the same. Their games still display the hallmark "Provably Fair" feature that lets players check the hash and see that the random number generator (RNG) has delivered the result recorded on the blockchain before the reels, or wheels spin or the dice roll. They are also adding new titles like Platinum Lightning Deluxe at partner casinos such as Bitstarz, mBit, and Playamo with more than fifty B2B and B2C sites operating on the proprietary platform. The renewed gaming portfolio was immediately made available to all.
Software and Games
Their games are all available to play instantly regardless of device or operating system. Players can use fiat currency (money) or digital currency to deposit, bet, win, and cash out. Slots offer interesting and intricate artwork, authentic musical scores recorded in-studio by the locally well-known radio host Olga Alvarado of Belarus, a variety of maths models and bonus mechanics, as well as meaningful and well-placed animations.
Table games include blackjack, baccarat, Caribbean Poker, Casino Hold'em, Hi-Lo Switch, Let It Ride, Oasis Poker, and pontoon, among several others and all allow players to access the Provably Fair widget.
In the past, some players and observers were heard to mumble that many of the games bore a striking resemblance to those developed earlier by another Belarussian company, Viaden, which was acquired by Playtech in 2011 - the year prior to SoftSwiss entering the real money gaming business. A 2013 article in Bitcoin Magazine lays that theory to rest. According to SoftSwiss founder, Ivan Montik, any similarities are due to graphics and other developers coming to work for his company after the acquisition. In the interview, he makes a solid case against any suggestion that coding or other elements were ever copied.
The Final Analysis
The company is a true maverick of the online casino digital currency revolution and it will be interesting to see future gaming titles appear as they are released under the new name.
Having bolstered their gaming lab's brain trust by recruiting top talent and giving their gaming portfolio a new name, along with a multimillion-dollar investment in freshness and vigor, the sky may be the limit for this innovative company "Transforming gambling into gaming".
