Ripper Casino Review Jump to comments

Ripper Casino is an online gambling site established in 2021. While the license isn’t displayed due to serviced markets like the USA, we have it on good authority that it is registered in Curacao. Players in some US states are not allowed to register - those in Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, and Washington state.

Look for a bevy of games like slots and blackjack from providers such as Rival, Booming Games, and Arrow’s Edge. New games are released every month so the selection will never go stale.

Payment gateways for deposits include Visa, MasterCard, Neosurf, Cash2Code, and eZeePay as well as Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. Please visit the cashier to see if your local currency is supported. Withdrawal methods also include bank wire, eZeeWallet, and BTC.

Neosurf, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies are often eligible for the biggest bonuses. Please see above for any exclusive offers like a progressively escalating welcome package with each deposit worth more instead of the other way around like you’ll find at many other sites. But even better? You can take the four welcome offers in any order you like.

Just be sure to zero out your account after every bonus or any wagering requirement can roll over to your next deposit. Also, make sure you don’t have any money in your account before applying a free spin or free chip bonus or it will all be tied to the bonus terms including max bet, wagering requirements, and max cashout provisions for free money.

Any players who might want assistance in setting deposit limits or even self-exclusion will find help in doing so.

The game selection is interesting and includes a nice mix of table games, video poker, and slots. All of the games we looked at on our initial “once-over” also had a demo mode so you can check out any of the games before staking your own money. All demo games should operate just like they will for real money play - but of course, you can’t cash out real money winnings if you don’t risk some of your funds.

While we haven’t fully identified the operators or every available market, we also don’t see any complaints out there. Looking over some of the forums with free chips we don’t find many comments at all. Some were regarding “no USA allowed”, but that has changed. When the site first launched all gaming providers were available to all logins, so players in the USA were blocked from registering an account.

Now, they seem to simply “disappear” the Booming Games selection when you log in from the USA. Geolocation software as part of HTML5 and your web browser simply reads your IP address and only shows the games that you are allowed to play. Players in New Zealand and Canada can access Booming Games content. The provider would appear to only be geo-blocked for players in the USA and perhaps other countries with licensing conflicts.

We didn’t try to get a log-in from all known restricted countries such as Costa Rica, France, Guyana, Israel, Martinique, Mayotte, Moldova, Thailand, and the United Kingdom. While the UK wasn’t completely geo-blocked, the country didn’t appear on the registration list either - so it seems to be tidied up.

Since we don’t know much of anything about the operators other than what they tell us on the “about us” page - which is not revealing and since it is a newer operation without an established history of fair play or amicable dispute resolution, we’ll simply have to…

  • Review the software and games
  • Take a look at the bonus terms and perhaps provide an example
  • Examine banking options and terms such as payout times as well as possible fees

By the time we get through those layers, we should be able to compile a list of potential pitfalls for players to look out for if any and then render a final opinion on what we’ve found here. Of course, any newish site comes with the caveat “emptor” until the operators have proven themselves for much longer.

Software and Games

It’s unclear who the platform provider is. We could whack enough brush and dive down a lot of rabbit holes and never determine it with certainty. There’s not much of a process of elimination to go on here as Arrow’s Edge is a sort of enigma whose game catalog has evolved into what appear to be bespoke games. When the brand came online some of the titles were legacy or licensed games with modifications or revamps if you will. We no longer find those party/crypto/NextGen genesis titles.

We can’t determine it through overall game selection either as Rival has opted out of getting their games on the aggregation platforms of most if not all global game bundlers and deliverers. We have no clue why. Booming Games is the odd duck here because their titles are distributed quite prolifically and found at hundreds of real money gaming sites globally.

All we can really tell about the platform is that it is stable, offers instant play games for all internet-connected devices with a web browser from mobile to desktop, and is semi-functional in geolocation and geoblocking.

In demo mode, we saw the game icons but were unable to load Arrows Edge from one country or Booming Games titles from a Canadian IP via VPN. However, it could simply be blocking VPNs, not the actual countries. The only way to know for sure would be to visit from your current location whether to take one of the bonuses or just try the games in demo mode.

Navigation and game selection

The site is set up very simply with top-tier menu options for games, banking, promotions, and help along with search, login, and register buttons.

Choosing “Games” presents two categories including table and card games. Clicking on the first option reveals more filtering or sorting choices such as “cold”, “top”, “trending”, and “hot”. At any point in the search, you can re-order the page ascending or descending sorting by release date or the title alphabetically.

After filtering to arrive in the “cold slots” category we didn’t need to sort the page as only four titles appeared - three from Rival and one from Booming Games, Spinosaurus. The Rival titles were Spartan Warrior, Strike Gold, and 5 Reel Circus - a funky Rival-powered game that came out in 2006 but was a favorite of many players when it was released thanks to frequent free spins triggers, retriggers, and multipliers.

Hovering over any game in the lobby or sub-sort page will show the game title and release date, but not the game’s provider. Rival titles appear with a splash screen once clicked. Arrow’s Edge games don’t. I wasn’t able to get Booming Games to load a splash screen showing the provider name and no clues were provided through examining the URL.

Booming Games slots

Look for popular Booming Games titles like Boom Shakalaka, Baby Bloomers, Booming 777 Deluxe, Wombaroo Hold and Respin, and Crazy Bananas.

Here’s a snippet from our review of Booming Games that seems to describe it well: “While the artwork and front-end feel of many games may not be for everyone, each has its own artistic merit from 3D side characters, to animated features, and unique color schemes. However, it's the magic under the hood that can hook players with supercharged moments of adrenaline or long, satisfying game sessions.”

Rival slots

While we can’t filter or sort by the provider name, the Rival brand is fairly easy to pick out of a line-up of killer slots. The telltale artwork on titles like Mythic Wolf, Catsino, Misfit Toyland, and Five Times Wins (5x), and Ten Times Wins (10x) is unmistakable. Of course, some of the legacy games will jump out at seasoned players as well.

Arrows Edge slots

I personally have a love/hate relationship with these games but not overall. Some games have been very good to me and at least one has eaten my lunch every time I have played it over the course of more than 2 years.

As far as I’m concerned, Time Bender should have been a contender for game of the year when it was released in late 2018. It’s thrilling, mesmerizing, different, and can deliver some huge payouts.

World Leaders is a novelty sort of satire game that, on the surface, seems somewhat silly, but the telephone bonus round has paid hundreds of times my stake dozens of times.

Zimba & Friends is where the jungle landscape I enter when I guess I’ve had enough winning. Of course, it’s down to luck and most likely a highly volatile game, but no matter how I bet - tiny or huge - I’ve never been able to break open the piggy bank on this slot.

Newer titles like Western Call with 2 progressive jackpots, user-choice wild symbols for free spins, and the possibility of 5 respins or 15 free games now call me to duty. Maybe after a year, I’ll amend this review to let you know how it goes over time. The graphics are decent, the soundtrack is epic, and the payline count at 28 is unique.

Other games

Look for RNG blackjack, roulette, table pokers, and video poker in this section. Most of the titles seem to be video poker. As with some of the blackjack titles, some of the icons simply open multi-hand versions of the same game with the exact same paytables, etc.

The most basic-looking game, toward the top of the list, is Jacks or Better with an 8/5 paytable and 800:1 for Royal Flush no matter how many coins are bet. There are no Hold suggestions so have your strategy tuned up for that particular paytable and it should be good to go.

  • Blackjack
  • Rolling Stack
  • Perfect Pairs (x2)
  • Single Deck (x2)

Bonuses and Promotions

While there’s no way to know if the operator will keep such offers open years from now, or even months, as of the time of this review there was a lot of juicy bonus fruit hanging real close to the ground - easy pickings!

Please see above and click through from here if there’s a free bonus - that way you’ll be sure to get the exclusive offer.

Free spin wins and the results of free chips have a 60x wagering requirement and max cashout of 5x the bonus given. This applies to all no-deposit-required bonus funds including comps. If a bonus is placed on top of existing cash - ask for it to be removed or you will encumber any deposits or winnings currently in your account. Mistakes do happen.

Note: Always bring your account balance down to zero between bonuses. A good habit would be to zero out each time you play if you ever take a bonus. Any lingering funds, even $0.01 will carry the wagering requirements attached to that money into the session.

Deposit bonuses usually come with 30x wagering based on the sump of the deposit and the bonus (30xb+b). The max bet rule is $10 without any highly specific terms so it would be safe to assume that rule is in effect until the account is brought to a zero-sum via loss of funds through wagering or a withdrawal.

All of the remaining terms are rote-bog-standard. The only real oddity here is the requirement to zero out your account after any bonus/between bonuses.

We’ll leave the maths to you on the value of the bonus offers above or any you might find specifically crafted for you at the cashier when you visit. I’ll just mention, especially for any new players, just how rare it is in most western markets outside of Europe to find unlimited cashouts and relatively low wagering requirements of 30xd+b on bonuses over 100% - especially on those as high as 200%.

Banking and Customer Service

There are about 10 payment methods available for banking here, Some work only for deposits, some work only for withdrawals, and two work for transactions, either way, making them the most convenient for many players. We’ll cover those first.

eZeeWallet

This is an easy-to-use digital wallet that you can top up using any of the 50 or more deposit methods. The minimum deposit is $20 and account funding is instant. There are no fees. Withdrawals to eZeeWallet take 2 business days according to the payments section of the website.

Bitcoin (BTC)

This cryptocurrency option might be the best for players who are already familiar with the simple but exacting process it requires. Deposits of $25 or more are processed instantly and withdrawals are done in 2 days.

A quick primer on the process follows…

  • Download a trusted Bitcoin wallet like Coinbase
  • Fund your wallet with Bitcoin by using a cryptocurrency exchange (like Coinbase)
  • Choose Bitcoin as your deposit option in the cashier and follow the instructions

Deposit options include Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Bitcoin, Neosurf, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, eZeeWallet, and Cash To Code eVouchers.

Bank wires are available for withdrawals only.

Weekly withdrawal limits are set at $2000. “Higher winnings” are not defined in the terms, but Ripper reserves the right to pay them out over a period of several weeks.

Customer care

Live chat is online from 6 am to 2 pm GMT and emails are answered within 24 hours.

Responsible gambling measures include self-imposed, operator-enforced deposit limits and periodic or permanent self-exclusion.

Pitfalls

  • Unknown operator/license
  • Must zero out balance between bonuses
  • Low weekly withdrawals ($2000)
  • Lack of navigation options (sort/filter)
  • No live dealers

The Final Word

Ripper Casino provides a themed gaming experience but the choice of games is determined by player location. That’s not such a harsh restriction at a site with literally thousands of games and it is “better” than having only one provider such as RTG, but still might cramp some players’ styles.

The game mix is very interesting and the choices work well together. I’m always happy to revisit Rival favorites and see what they’ve cooked up recently, and Arrow’s Edge does produce some really interesting titles. However, I have not seen any of their jackpots actually won yet and the major jackpot trackers don’t carry the feeds.

The added value in game curation for players in some regions is Booming Games. I have to say, this is the first time I think I’ve seen these three providers at the same gaming venue and there’s nothing in my deep knowledge of the history of online gaming that would explain it properly - I would guess it was a matter of popularity in a certain target market or simply a synergy discovered of all the games in one place creating a superior customer experience.

Whilst I have become a crypto-only online gambler I still have to examine any operation through other players’ wallets. I like the eZeeWallet solution but also the ability to do something like a deposit with Neosurf and withdraw to my bank. Bank wires do require a minimum $100 withdrawal but it’s understandable with the administrative costs etc., involved.

I don’t quite understand why coins like Lite Coin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) can be used for deposits, but not withdrawals, it’s no big deal, really. LTC has basically no cost to me to deposit, or a few cents at most. It’s a very good choice for deposits.

In fact, with the current bonus offers, I would use all cryptocurrencies allowed. I can currently get a nice fat percentage match once each week with BTC and another of the same value with LTC as well at once per week with Neosurf on my first ‘surf deposit of the week. That is a lot of bonus action!

I also like the huge welcome package and the fact I can use the coupons in any order I want to.

Ripper Casino is the newest purebred Rival casino on the market. I love Rival slots so that's why I joined this casino. My first impressions are that this is not a los casino. The bonus offer is solid, but of course the cashouts process should be faster

Because its the only document I can have so didnt have chance to play here. Also there is no even option to deposit. System says contact support if you want to deposit using this method. And same thing for every method which is offered in the cashier.
