NewVegas Casino Review Jump to comments

NewVegas Casino is a late 2020 entry into the online casino marketplace. Featuring Rival Powered, Betsoft, and other games, the site accepts players from the USA and other underserved regions like Australia and Canada.

Visitors will find a generous welcome bonus, familiar deposit and withdrawal options including instant Bitcoin deposits, a gaming guide with tips and tricks for playing classic floor games, a live dealer suite, slots and jackpot slots, table and card games, and a few casual games like animated scratch cards.

Depending on your location, game providers may include Tom Horn, Fresh Deck Studios, Arrow's Edge, and others.

We don't find operator or licensing information, so we won't be able to review the history of any possible sister-sites.

That leaves us with the obvious caveat emptor for any new and virtually unknown operation as well as a thorough review of the software, game providers, available games, promotions, banking, customer service, terms and conditions, and any potential pitfalls to look out for before we wrap up what we learn for you in the process.

Software and Games

The first thing you'll notice when you visit is that the entire operation fits right in your web browser - whether you hold it in your hand, it appears on a desktop monitor, or even if it spreads across your wall on a projector screen.

You don't need to download any software or install any apps. The advanced tech of HTML5 browser-based gaming makes the dream of instant-play online casinos a reality.

Navigation

The lobby will present many paths to explore while making it easy to go directly to the type of game you like.

Simply click on any of the game categories to find a colorful display of game icons. Each icon is also labeled with the name of the game developer.

Alternately, in the upper right corner near the login and registration buttons, you'll find a 'smart search' magnifying glass icon. Simply type in a few letters of the game type or even slot title or the provider name to see a list of results - click one to explore further.

NewVegas slots

Another helpful navigation feature is found by entering the slots lobby.

Here, you'll find filters that not only include the kind of slots on offer (Video, 3-reel, jackpot, etc.) but also a list of providers.

Click or tap on Fugaso to see all of the Future Gaming Solutions titles. The same holds true for Dragon Gaming slots, Felix, and Tom Horn as well as Betsoft, Arrow's Edge, Rival, and Saucify.

Wherever you are in your journey and however you get there, there's hidden information for each game waiting for you.

Click on a slot title such as Rival's Ten Times Wins and two options will appear - PLAY NOW and INFO.

Click the INFO option to be taken to a new page. Here, you'll not only have a chance to play the game in demo mode or for real money, but you can also read a description of the game including its update status on the HTML5 platform.

You'll see the game rated by players too. This title had 4.7 stars out of 5 when we visited.

If you are logged in, which isn't necessary to play in demo mode, you can also add your own star rating, write down some thoughts or a review of the game for other players, or read what others have said about it.

Live games navigation sidebar, while we're discussing the interface...

The INFO page for live dealer games is not available unless you have logged in. In fact, you'll need to log in to open the games at all because they are only available for real money play. The good news is that if you are logged in you can tap the game and choose INFO in order to read other players' ratings or leave your own feedback before you play the game for real money.

Now...

Back to slots!

We will not assume that you are already familiar with any of the software providers here, although you may be. Rival has been on the scene since at least 2005 and Betsoft has been making their games since 2006 with the first 3D titles coming out over a decade ago.

If you already know all you want to know about these two developers or even Saucify, please feel free to skip on down the page for the hidden gems that are found at this site. Alternately, you can explore these game studios even more by reading our in-depth reviews of the developers and some of their hottest games. Just follow the links in the sections below to learn more.

Rival slots

At one point in time, Rival was a gaming powerhouse with many players preferring their games over the much larger developers like Microgaming and Playtech. Unfortunately, through a series of events ranging from poorly vetted and possibly underfunded operators, to corporate inability to back up their operators, the slots fell from favor along with the casinos that carried them.

Thanks to the advent of Remote Gaming Servers being widely deployed along with aggregators who could bundle the games along with slots from other makers, separate from the old operator baggage, and finally HTML5 instant play web browser gaming, Rival games are back!

Now, if you like all the intense color, sound, animations, and advanced feature mechanics of the most modern slots - you won't be disappointed - they keep pumping out cutting edge games.

But...

If you want to explore the first-in-class skill-based slot games and series of games with a storyline, this is the provider you want to click on.

Hole in Won offers nine different skill-based bonus rounds that let players shoot a new green with each bonus trigger. The bonus round has a guaranteed return to player percentage (RTP) range so if the random bonus spectrum that is awarded on a given trigger is extremely lucrative - you can collect a nice chunk of change even if you need 6 shots on a par 3 hole.

Conversely, if the spectrum is in a lower range, you might only make 30-40x your triggering stake with a Birdie or an Eagle.

That's part of the fun of Rival's skill-based iSlots, they're like life or a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. But the better you play the green, the more money you will make off the feature every single time.

Fairly brilliant, isn't it?

Note: The above illustration is a reasoned observation after many years of playing the game. The actual mechanism is a trade secret and could be randomized differently.

Betsoft slots

Betsoft sort of floated around in the background noise of the gaming universe for several years with their 'hosted' 3D slots slowly gaining favor among many players. At some point roughly coinciding with their exit from the Maltese regulators, they began to become one of the most widely deployed brands in the history of online gaming. Now you can find their titles almost everywhere.

Betsoft slot characteristics

High RTP

The theoretical return to player percentage (RTP) of many games is solidly on the high end. Over the long run, this is an important characteristic to keep players happy. If we win, we like the game. If we win often we like it even more. If we occasionally win big, a game's name and unique "personality" can be forever written on our hearts.

Low volatility

Many of the games are low on the volatility spectrum, which means that they feed-back a lot of smaller wins and occasionally produce a big prize. Studies have shown that the majority of players prefer this type of slot.

Aesthetics

Many of the games are simply a joy to look at and play. From protagonist characters cheering you on in Fa-Fa Twins to the diabolical and innocent beauties of Good Girl Bad Girl, the games draw you in with a well-executed narrative and engagement.

Good Girl Bad Girl

This game has an RTP approaching 98% and gives the player near-total control of the volatility.

Low risk - Bet on the Good Girl and you are playing left to right with the promise of a lot of wins, most of them smaller.

High risk - Bet on the Bad Girl and you will be playing right to left with fewer wins that are worth more when they do happen.

Medium risk - Bet on both Girls to play left to right and right to left for a perfect balance of high and low volatility.

For the erstwhile explorer, there are so many maths models, themes, and feature mechanics that you can eventually find a game that is literally... everything you want.

Saucify slots

Saucify was formerly known as BetOnSoft, but as far as we know has no relation to Betsoft. The games have distinctive characteristics and themes that run from the ordinary to the extraordinary and from the ridiculous to the sublime.

Rise of Spartans is as tough as it sounds and the loot is massive when you win. Big Game is simple and fun and can throw round after round of free spins at you. Spin 16 Elementium is an adventure into a novel approach with players feeling a sense of control over random events.

Fugaso slots

Tom Horn slots

Dragon Gaming slots

Felix slots

Arrow's Edge slots

If you aren't familiar with games like TimeBender, World Leaders, and Pixiu - you might want to check out this library first.

The games run the gamut from the odd-feeling but occasionally high-paying 4th and Goal to the sublimely progressive mathematical minimalism and masterful artwork of Pixiu to the mind-warping thrills of TimeBender. And then, there are games that are simply fun personified, like Chef Wars.

Jackpot slots

The lion's share of the games in this section is from Arrow's Edge. You'll need to click into the game to see the progressive jackpot amounts on these titles. Rival progressives such as Jackpot Five Times Wins will have the current big prize emblazoned on the game icon.

Classic 3 Reel slots

Look for nearly 30 classic three-reelers from Rival on this page. Our favorites are Big Bang Buckaroo, Sensational 6's, and Five Times Wins. Dollars to Donuts is right up there as well with a huge jackpot and full pay when betting 3 coins of any value when you hit the jackpot combination.

Bonuses and Promotions

When we visited, we found a welcome package with a 400% match which could be claimed 2x. There was also a 3000% offer for Rival slots on the website, but it was not available to claim or read the terms about in our cashier.

They were also offering five reload bonuses of 100% each as well as casino spins to compliment most straight deposits.

The cashback offer (5%) can be claimed weekly on all deposits, and the VIP club is available by invitation only.

Any platform provider worth their salt is able to craft a bonus buffer into the banking facilities. For instance, if your balance on a bonus deposit reaches a certain level, usually $1, it can be considered clear.

Here, we find a term that states you must either cashout from a bonus or reduce your account balance to $0 in order to close the terms of a bonus. This could matter if you deposit with $0.01 left in your account and the terms attached to that penny include a max cashout, obscene wagering requirements, game restrictions, etc. A fresh deposit of $1000 or any other amount could be encumbered by the terms and conditions on that single penny.

6.11
Any additional deposits made during promotional play will be bound to the terms of the 'active' bonus. An 'active' bonus is defined as a bonus that the player has claimed and has not yet completed by either bringing their account balance to exactly $0.00 (€, £, Rx10) or by cashing out winnings after completing the bonus requirements.

Bonus game restrictions

Be sure to check the specific terms of any promotion for game restrictions. Our welcome bonus forbad the playing of: "BetSoft Promotion-Ineligible, Casino Battle, Slot Progressive". Of those three, we only know what a 'slot progressive' might be. It would seem to exclude any Arrows Edge games with progressive jackpots.

The instant terms, specific to the promotion, also state that 'table limits' may be reduced on slots and other games.

Finally, game weighting should be considered...

Dragon Games count 1/5 and Tom Horn 1/10 - effectively making the 35xd+b rollover 5x35 (175x) on Dragon slots and 350x on Tom Horn slots.

Additionally, important bonus terms are tucked away in the general terms and conditions. Under "prizes, winnings, & banking" at 4.5 we find the minimum cashout to be $100 - yet under "promotion terms" in the general T&C we find at 6.18 "The minimum withdrawal amount for all account holders at the casino is $50 (€, £, Rx10)". In the cashier, BTC withdrawals are stated in a range from 0 to 1000 USD.

Advantage play -  "any [other] method used to beat the casino" can cost you every penny, at their sole discretion.

Banking and Customer Service

Instant Bitcoin deposits are one easy way to get your funds into the cashier and begin playing right away. As soon as your transaction appears on the blockchain, your account is credited. No more waiting for three or more confirmations.

Be sure to send BTC rather than another form of crypto when depositing via an exchange or wallet and be sure you use a new wallet address, the one they give you for that deposit, rather than one from a previous deposit unless otherwise instructed.

The minimum deposit by all methods is $25 as of this writing. Neosurf, Visa, and Mastercard were offered as payment methods in the cashier along with Bitcoin and comp point conversion.

The only withdrawal method available to us upon launch was BTC. The limits were stated as 0-1000 USD.

Customer care

Look for a fairly comprehensive FAQ that includes all common questions as well as sections on Bitcoin and several guides on how to play games like Pai Gow, baccarat, and even roulette. There's a helpful blackjack rules section for beginning and novice players. Advanced strategists can simply open the rules from within a game to know whether to adjust their gameplay. Basic strategy is offered.

Help is offered 24/7 via an on site email form as well live chat for more urgent issues. Representatives are glad to help with any questions including those related to Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals.

Pitfalls

  • Unstated operator and licensing jurisdiction
  • Harsh wagering requirements on some games
  • Too much latitude and wiggle room to deny a payout
  • Extreme dormancy fees after 12 months ($100 or 5% balance per month)

The Final Word

NewVegas Casino offers an interesting mix of games - some are legendary favorites and some are glistening new babes.

Since it is a new operation as of review time, and there are a few clunkers in the T&C which we have covered here, we suggest becoming familiar with those potential pitfalls prior to giving the operator the privilege of earning your trust.

Some managers are "once bitten twice shy" and will weave escape clauses into the terms only to be used in the case of systematic or obvious "bonus abuse". We don't like that, because the adage of whatever they can do they can do always holds true.

The bonuses are generous and seem to be crafted in a way that will give players the most possible playtime, while still being able to cash out all they win on some offers. However, weighting certain games as if they are 5x or 10x easier to win is not very well thought out in our opinion and smacks of a "gotcha" strategy whether it is or not in reality.

Banking could be a bit more accessible for the average player but as long as visitors know the pathways in and out and are comfortable with them the payment methods should not be a problem for most.

This casino is really cool...I withdrew winnings of $400 without ever having deposited! All I had to do was beat the wager of the signup bonus I had redeemed (which was actually very reasonable) and voila.. 3 days after I requested a withdrawal I received the money. Unfortunately they no longer accept South African players.

READ THE TERMS OF SERVICE for any casino before depositing. They offer 70 free spins with a $25 maximum cash out. That seems low, so I contacted live chat to ask if they require a verification deposit. The chat agent said they don't require any verification deposit before the first withdrawal, so I checked their terms of service and discovered this. 6.7 If no previous deposit has been made, a minimum deposit of $50 (€, £, Rx10) is required to verify an account holder's personal information before any withdrawal is made. With that information, I once again contacted live chat and they confirmed they were "mistaken". Right, you weren't just lying to me to get me to deposit $50 for a $25 bonus.
