Fair Go Casino Review Jump to comments
Fair Go Casino is a Deck Media Realtime Gaming (RTG) site with a green theme highlighted by golden accents. Aussies will be the first to notice the calling, but anyone who visits will also soon notice that money is referred to as $ or AUD. The site is primarily designed for players in Australia, but others are welcome as well.
When all of the publically traded gaming companies pulled out of the country with the 2017 gambling amendments, several offshore private companies came to the rescue. Several bad operators popped up too. This site obviously doesn't have an Australian online casino license as none exist. Perhaps out of an overabundance of caution, the site doesn't bear any licensing seal at all. However, it is most likely licensed in Curacao, as all other Deck Media properties are licensed there.
The most important point to note is that no Caribbean licensing authority offers dispute resolution services. Players need to either know a firm's reputation, consult an unbiased review, or risk their funds to build their own history with any N.V. company. Yanks have been dealing with the same issue for over a decade and experience has shown that Deck Media is a solid company. There is a clickable CDS (central dispute system) icon near the bottom of the home page, but it's a labyrinth of nothingness and rarely results in a decision either way. It's all about history and reputation for now.
Sister-sites include Sloto'Cash, Uptown Pokies, Red Stag, Desert Nights, and Slots Capital along with a few mixed platform sites the company does marketing for and may own the white labels. Sloto'Cash launched in 2007 and has a stellar reputation for fairness, as long as you know and follow the rules. Uptown Pokies is a post gambling amendment skin for Oz with Uptown Aces and AUD under the hood. There are about a dozen sites in all, each as good as the next, with a variety of software offerings.
Software and Games
This is an RTG, instant play, no download, mobile and desktop single platform gaming site. Realtime Gaming features mostly Aussie slots, made by a company there. The platform started in Atlanta, Georgia in the US but games since the time of Achilles, et al, were made by a company called Dynamite Games. It's unclear if the games lab is still producing RTG titles under a new name or if the new pokies are coming from a different lab. Regardless, the vast majority of about 300 games onsite were made in Australia.
You won't find a thousand games by two dozen developers, but there is a lot of variety in maths models, mechanics, themes, etc. New games are released frequently. You can view games by the icon if you're more of a visual person, or use the list feature to sort by title, number of lines, and jackpot amount.
If you like to play by themes, simply pick a picture. If you want to give it your best shot to take down one of the random jackpots there's another method. Activate list view (near upper right) then sort by jackpot size high to low, skip the network progressive which you'll recognize by the size of the prizes, and skip any games with shared jackpots (same amount). Now that we're in the money, it's time to pick a game!
You'll want to click each game descending and make note of medium volatility games, or try to find one near the top of the money list with low volatility. After many years of playing these games I've noticed the volatility indexes are not always as advertised, but they can be a helpful guide if you don't know the games front to back.
In the random jackpot hunt, you want to turn your money over as many times as you can because each spin is like buying a lottery ticket. Avoid games with high and very high volatility (Aztec Treasure, Caesar's Empire, etc) unless you want to risk big for a sizable return, then go to medium and low on the index to increase your chances of winning a jackpot. Achilles is 'medium' and Derby Dollars is supposedly 'low'.
These jackpots can all be won from a $0.01 stake, but the more lines you choose and the higher the coin, the more 'tickets' you are buying. In a nutshell, you're 2,000x as likely to trigger a random on a $20.00 spin than on a $0.01 spin. However, chasing them is the road to ruin, the method above will simply increase your chances of seeing fireworks.
So, when you play here you'll be playing Made in Oz games and you know a way to get a leg up and go for the gusto!
The table and card games are no great shakes visually, but they are fast and fair. The video poker will take you right back to the 90's, but the paytables tell the story. The Wizard of Odds has all the games analyzed by maths and even bonus values in some cases.
Bonuses and Promotions
Look for special welcome bonuses and packages as well as ongoing promotions and seasonal incentives. See the promotions page or ask about cash back and increased rebates for VIP members. RTG software will let you bet in excess of the max bet allowed. Be sure to read and understand the promo terms, then check the page again prior to subsequent deposits, especially regarding max bet which is in the preamble, not a numbered term.
Banking and Customer Service
Debit/credit and some prepaid cards are accepted for deposits as well as Bitcoin. Some of the alternative payout methods may take a few days or more than 2 weeks once processed and will incur fees.
Live chat and email support are available as well as international and toll-free Aus phone support.
Pitfalls
Cash back comes with wagering requirements and the maximum bet rule is applied. If you're unable to accept bank wires back to Visa or Mastercard for payouts and don't have a Bitcoin wallet, cashouts are slow and incur fees. No license displayed.
The Final Word
Fair Go is a site designed specifically for players down under, and others are welcome. Most of the games were made in Sydney. Unlike UKGC or Maltese licensed sites the terms and conditions, as well as the FAQ, are brief and to the point with no legal-speak, and are very clear. While the operators don't display a license they have maintained an excellent reputation for fair play for over a decade. Good to go!
