Slots Empire Review Jump to comments
Slots Empire is an online casino accepting players from the U.S., Canada, Australia, and elsewhere. The site runs on RTG software and offers the full suite of instant Realtime Gaming slots and casino games with plans to add Visionary iGaming live dealer streams.
Ownership and operator status are unknown, and the site does not display any licensing information. An associated casino seems to be Red Dog, another RTG site that also launched in late 2018 or early 2019. The site first appeared at its current IP Address in late October 2018 and opened in February.
Software and Games
The site is available for instant play for any device in your browser. PC users can also download a desktop client.
The downloadable "Citizen Client" offers more games than the instant play version, but either one is all most players really need. Legacy hunters and longtime RTG fans may wish to use the download client because there are some treasures on there that haven't been converted for instant play yet - and some may never be.
All games on the site are available for play in any browser on any operating system including PC or Mac. There are no Android or iOS apps to download as the games will play directly in your mobile handset or tablet's browser as well as on any desktop computer.
The site itself seems to be a bespoke creation, rather than a template supplied by RTG, as most of the RealTime Gaming instant casinos seem to be built on. Navigation is a breeze and the layout, user interface, and user experience are unique and appear to be a top of the line development.
Borrowing theme from the Roman Empire, the introductory narrative hits the mark with quality imagery and subtle animation along with plenty of dramatic narratives.
The Empire theme is carried out well throughout the games and promotions sections, as well as the "About Us" section.
From "About Us"
Centuries ago, when the scattered tribes were drawn together by the might of the first Emperor, the Slots Empire was created to rule over the games of chance...
The Games
New releases (RTG unveil at least one new game each month) are found on the DL client and on instant play simultaneously. Since about 2018 most new games have come from RTG Asia, rather than the company's Aussie studios as they had since nearly the beginning.
That's not to say that all new games are Asian themed, but for over a year the majority of them were. Games like I Zombie, Naughty or Nice III, Asgard, Stardust, Scuba Fishing, and others keep the offering diverse and fresh.
Real Series Random Jackpot Slots
This type of video slot has been RTG's claim to fame over the last couple of decades. One of the first games released in this series, Achilles, is reportedly still one of the most popular games in their catalog.
Some of the older games are funky and clunky, like Lion's Lair, and some can be about as much fun as watching paint dry, like Treasure Chamber - but - even those games offer players the chance to win thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars on a one cent per line bet.
RTGAsia Games
In addition to the themes, which are distinctively Asian, many of these games offer unique bonus mechanics and opportunities for volatility junkies to stretch the limits of their imaginations.
Shanghai Lights, Ancient Gods, Tian Di Yuan Su, and Three Kingdom Wars (San Guo Zheng Ba) each allow players to adjust various metrics in order to increase the potential risk and reward factors exponentially.
Others, like Wu Zetuan and Cai Hong offer their own appeal with potentially tremendous jackpots. Please keep in mind that aside from random jackpots, nearly all RTG slot games have a max win cap per spin of 50,000x line bet. One exception is Vulcan. However, when you look at the paytable and features of games like Mystic Dragon, it's easy to see why they are able to do that and still present a verifiable theoretical return to player percentage (RTP).
This reviewer has had several wins capped over the years without a single tear coming to my eyes. However, I rarely play all lines minimum bet, and nearly always play games with stacked or expanding wilds. Especially Mystic Dragon, where each wild symbol in a winning line further multiplies the win.
The only sad times I've experienced with RTG slots is winning random jackpots when playing with a free chip or a coupon with a max cashout.
Three Reel Slots
If you want to take a trip back to the 1990s you will be able to find an old-fashioned 3-reel slot or two here. Think, Sevens & Stripes. But if you are looking for something else, don't neglect to check out Santastic, Three Stooges II, Jumping Beans, Double Ya Luck, or the newer Scuba Fishing. To borrow from an old television commercial, "These are not your father's 3-reel slot machines!"
Odd reel or line count games
Lucky 6 - A six reel, ten line game with super multipliers and extra wilds and additional high paying symbols during free games, depending on how the feature is triggered. Imagine a two, three reel, 5-line games side by side - one paying left to right and the other, right to left. Now imagine those reel sets being connected with wins spilling over from one side to the other and you've imagined this oddity that can pay huge dividends on a lucky spin or retriggering feature!
Kung Fu Rooster - is a 1-12 line game with free spins triggered by wise little old monkeys.. the kind you might imagine soaking in a hot spring in Japan. Landing two or more of them anywhere adjacent beginning with the first two reels will award up to 25 free games.
Here's the kicker!
If the free games come with the randomly awarded Fire Claw multiplier, each successive free game is played with an increased multiplier. Your first spin is 1x, but your last free spin could be worth 25x line bet, or a winning potential of up to $50,000 for a single line.
Even for those who want to bet all 12 lines at one cent each, the returns can be pretty impressive with stacked wilds filling the screen along with the highest paying symbol, the long knife.
Cinematic quality games
While Pirate Isle may take as long to load over a slow connection as it takes to watch a youtube video, it is not a cinematic quality game by any stretch of the imagination... it just has a complicated bonus scene that could be coded and rendered in HTML5 today in seconds.
The prime slow-download game here is Orc vs Elf. Consider the load time as an investment in your journey. Players can choose the Orc or Elf to determine basic volatility and you'll have a chance to collect free games and features whenever triggered, or let them build up for a crescendo free game session later.
Video Poker
RTG hasn't released a new video poker game in quite some time. But the legacy games offer some of the best paytables out there, and they play as fast as you want. There are more than a dozen variants available with single and multiple hand count options.
Table Games
Blackjack, baccarat, poker, and craps along with Vegas three card rummy are found in this suite with about 8 blackjack rule sets including side bets.
The baccarat game is rudimentary but offers brisk play. Several poker variants are here including Caribbean Hold'em, Stud, and Draw. This is also where you will find roulette.
The specialties games section also contains roulette in American, French, and multiplayer versions. Look for keno, bingo, and jackpot Roaring Twenties Bingo here along with scratch cards and the often overlooked Asian 3-dice game of Sic Bo.
Bonuses and Promotions
When we visited, the well-themed bonus offers numbered three. Any of them could be used as a welcome bonus. Please see current offers, terms, and conditions above or on the website when you visit the casino.
For the purpose of illustration, we'll run over the three offers briefly.
Game of the Month
The offer we looked at was more than 100% match along with 70 spins on the most recent game release. There was no max cashout and wagering was 35x d+b
24/7 Bonus
This incentive included a minimum match of 100% increasing to up to 150% for a larger deposit. No max cashout, 35x d+b
Welcome Bonus
This offer had a low $10 minimum deposit and an extremely generous percentage match. However, the max cashout was 30x deposit amount.
The max bet allowed while all bonuses were active was twice as generous as most European facing sites offer.
Banking and Customer Service
Deposit methods seem to be tailored for the widest market possible. Ease of banking for customers in certain markets such as the US, Canada, and Australia also seems to have received a lot of consideration.
Credit and debit cards, Bitcoin, Neosurf, and instant gift cards (available onsite) should make deposits fairly effortless for most players.
Withdrawal methods, including pay-back-to-card, BTC, and bank wires, should be good for most players as well.
The minimum withdrawal limit is rather high. The maximum is in line with most US-facing sites, but how often you can withdraw the maximum is not specified succinctly.
Customer Service
Customer service actually begins for this reviewer when I land on the property's home page. I want to see clear concise information that is easy to find and written with the utmost professionalism. Further, if the FAQ is worth its weight in digital ink, and the actual interface performs as it is supposed to, I rarely feel the need to chat with a customer service agent.
That is all good here. We also find a live chat button, a phone number, and several email addresses listed throughout the site.
Pitfalls
- Rates clients with an eight-point "customer level criteria"
- Certain privacy rules do not apply in enforcing terms and policies
- Reserves the right to refuse payment for:
Betting strategies (Martingale, etc.)
If you appear on a bonus abuse blacklist (accused of bonus abuse in any other casino)
If you play with a free chip during a "payout pending time"
Placing any outside bets on roulette while a bonus is active
The Final Word
It's never easy to review a new property that declines to divulge ownership, management, and licensing jurisdiction. It can't be compared to a longstanding sister-site, especially when any siblings are as new as it is.
However, the gambling politics and legal situation countries like the US and Australia are such that some quite solid operators, including those involved in companies licensed in the UK or Malta, will not want their identities to be known.
That leaves us with only a few clues to go by.
- Does it look, on the surface, like a professional endeavor?
The answer here is, "Yes".
- Are there some strict business-protecting terms?
Again, "Yes".
- Could a real slick clip joint put enough money up front to reel in a bunch of marks and then rip them off?
"Yes, it could happen".
- Could well-meaning operators here fall on hard times by attracting a few sharks that bet like whales and win big?
"No". The terms are too strict, the welcome package has max cashout limits, and user class is never defined so they could pay out $2,500 a (day, week, month, year? It's not defined in the terms).
My personal opinion of the site is that it is most likely operated by industry veterans hoping to take advantage of lucrative markets that don't currently have much, or any, regulated online gambling.
However, the terms indicating they use a bonus abuse database bother me to some degree, but not as much as the general term against "betting strategies". This applies whether a bonus is used or not. I happen to use 'strategies' that include creating my own volatility by choosing the number of paylines and the amount bet per line - with or without a bonus in play.
That's one of the things that make RTG slots attractive to me. I rarely play fixed payline games... might as well be buying lottery tickets.
Players who simply enjoy online gambling may well find Slots Empire to be a perfect match for their play style. The welcome bonus is attractive, especially if you win less often than once in every 30 deposits on average and always deposit the same amount.
The alternative bonuses are more attractive, especially to players who simply raise and lower their bets randomly depending on bankroll and/or mood.
Documents should only take 2 days to approve and the stated withdrawal times are certainly in line with most other gaming sites serving non-European markets. BTC is stated as 1-3 days and bank wires as 5 business days.
