Las Atlantis Casino Review Jump to comments

Las Atlantis Casino is a Realtime Gaming site with non-stop bonuses for mobile or desktop play. Launched in late 2020, the site carries about 200 games from legendary Aussie slots like Achilles and Caesars Empire to the newest games with state of the art bonus mechanics and features.

From the moment you visit the website, you'll notice there's something different about it. The cool blue Atlantian theme presents a journey to the ocean floor as you dive deeper and deeper into the introductory experience.

The whale of a welcome offer hangs in the sky above the island of gambling marvels. Scroll down or click the anchor to explore the newest slots from RTG. Just below those, you'll find a good number of popular games followed by more promotions.

When you reach the seabed you'll see treasure chests and animated aquatic life.

You might be thinking...

That's all good and well, but it's another RTG casino, what's so special?

Well, the theme is tied to the bonuses and there are a lot of them. When you log in and get ready to play you'll see a rather standard RTG lobby template as far as the navigational interface goes. But you are also greeted by the same quality artwork and potentially lucrative bonus offers as were seen on the introductory web site.

Another special thing about this site is the operation itself. The people behind it are obviously long time veterans of the gaming world. However, they simply don't show themselves to us.

Operating in markets like the United States and Australia presents special challenges and players must be very very wary of who they trust their hard-earned cash to. There aren't many 'middle of the road' casinos in those markets these days - operators are either out to make a fast buck, or they are in for the long haul and have devised ways to stay open.

That would seem to be the case here. I say "seem to be" because they've only been providing service under their current labels for a few years now.

I have to admit it took a leap of faith for me to register and play at their first new site, Slots Empire. But I looked at the quality of the offering and the sensible bonus terms, and then I went over the general terms and conditions with a fine-toothed comb. My spider-sense didn't tingle with danger and nothing seemed untoward.

When I signed up and made a Bitcoin deposit they wanted to confirm my account right away and offered me something for my 'trouble'.

Now, many players might prefer to put off the chore of verifying documents and all that until it's time to cash out.

I learned long ago it's better to get the task out of the way as soon as possible.

I can't tell you how many times I reversed withdrawals and spun back winnings that should have been landed before I made a habit of dotting the i's and crossing all the t's before going on a winning streak. Now, I cash out after a big win, every time.

It's just good business and it's good business on their end to be proactive. My first payout was in my wallet in about 24 hours after cashing out.

When I registered at their next debut, Red Dog, I had a little bit of apprehension. I thought, "what if they are going to run a good site to build up a reputation and then start fleecing players"? But I went for it anyway.

It's the same operator, but they wanted to go through procedures again. This time it only took a few minutes and a phone call.

Since then, they've launched Aussie Play and El Royale, and of course, now, Las Atlantis. None of the sites have generated complaints and all of them I've played at pay like clockwork.

That may sound like a long-winded way to say that I will play at this site because I trust the operator. Do I take the big bonuses? Please read on to find out why you may or may not want to.

Software and Games

The site runs on an encrypted secure socket layer in both directions. Passwords, financial data, and even game info are certified to run only to their servers and they can see that your connection doesn't change. If you pick a new modem or hotspot in the middle of a session it will kick you off and make you sign back in.

As far as navigation and layout, what you choose on the menus is what you'll see on the main screen of the lobby. When you are "Home" the bonus offers and other information may change but two elements will always remain the same.

On the top, you'll be able to access a FAQ page with reams of answers on everything from general questions to deposits and withdrawals, promotions, and bonuses.

Next, and this is fairly rare for a US or AU facing site, you can actually read the terms and conditions while logged in. The terms are well-indexed with a navigable table of contents that stays stationary on the page no matter which section of the terms you are reading.

Within the terms, you'll find a section on "customer levels". While they are transparent about the metrics used to rate players, they don't give away how the matrix works or how each element is weighted. However, it's refreshing to see this much transparency.

The next section is "Banking". All of the current deposit and withdrawal options are listed as well as limits. Again, here we see an operator that is transparent in the fact that the withdrawal limit is higher than the deposit limit for most methods. Usually, it's the other way around.

In this section, you'll also find a graphically augmented explanation of the validation documents needed along with a narrative on the procedure. A link is provided for document download, usually referred to as a faxback form. You'll need to prove your identity, residence, and ownership of any cards you deposit with just like at any other licensed and regulated online casino.

Finally, there is a link with contact information. Toll-free phone numbers are provided for Australia and the USA as well as an email link.

Menu navigation

Icon links for promotions, messages, and a miscellaneous 3-line hamburger menu top the command column on the left of the screen when playing on a desktop.

Mobile navigation is accomplished with onscreen buttons, swipes, or through the hamburger menu.

The mobile and desktop sites are primarily the same with slight tweaks to the user interface when it would be most convenient and intuitive. Any variations become second nature in a matter of moments for players who use multiple devices.

The cashier button resides above your balance. It is a standard encrypted secure RTG cashier pop over - it won't get lost behind your main browser if you get distracted.

Game menu

  • New Games
  • Table Games
  • Slots
  • Video Poker
  • Specialty
  • Progressives
  • Favorites
  • Live Dealers

Each category except New Games has its own sorting menu or game filtering options along the top of the page.

You can also toggle between icon view and list view. The list view will provide the most information and allows for sorting by title/name and other parameters such as by the number of lines and jackpot amount for slots, number of hands for video poker, etc.

When in Icon View, hover or hold and tap the red arrow on the bottom of the picture to see more information.

Table games

The filters in this section are for All games, Caribbean, and 21 games. Progressives like Caribbean Stud and Hold'Em are included as well as Progressive Let'Em Ride. Sorting is by name or jackpot amount.

There are eight blackjack variants on tap from Perfect Pairs to Pontoon. All of the games have brief descriptions of the rules and how to play. Once you launch the HTML5 game you'll be able to learn more in the rules or help file under the 3-line menu.

The new help files for mobile and desktop play are very well put together. They include game details, point values, and an explanation of anything like side bets.

Terminology is included along with how to play, how to win, and how the dealer plays and they include payout tables, but no odds or return to player percentages. You can click the following link to see the universal Realtime Gaming rules page for Suit 'Em Up™ Blackjack.

Additional games in this category include baccarat, Pai Gow, Tri Card Poker, and Vegas Three Card Rummy.

Note: Don't be shy about trying a new game like Vegas Three Card Rummy. The help files and low bet limits almost guarantee an adventure!

Slots

This is the section where you can put the filters to work for you. Granted, when a site is new it can take a while for the Real Series Random Jackpots to build up to a point where you may want to consider a strategy, but it's never to soon to start thinking about the times you might want to deposit without a max cashout bonus, play smart, and increase your chances of landing a jackpot that you can cash out to the last penny.

Sidebar: Random Jackpot primer

  • Enter list view
  • Sort for high jackpots
  • Check volatility
  • Assume all games are the same RTP

The hack here is to find the biggest possible jackpot on a game with low volatility and a high theoretical return to player percentage (RTP).

The premise is that the more spins you do, the more chances you have to win the random. Consider each spin of a certain bet level one lottery ticket, and it will become clear.

Unfortunately, RTG no longer publishes their RTP or even a range of RTPs for any given game so we only have two tools to work with - volatility and a big jackpot.

Please don't do a coffee spit when I mention this, but outside of this strategy, the RTP is actually about the least important element of a game to a player but the most important one to the casino.

Here's why...

Tens of thousands of players will play hundreds of thousands and millions of spins on any particular title. That game's actual RTP will occur for the operator, but it will probably never occur for you.

The higher the volatility, the longer it will take for you to come within a point or two of that number. It may take ten million spins, and even then, that session could be the one in one thousand outlier with anomalous results.

A low volatility game will see you achieve the RTP much quicker, perhaps briefly at a thousand spins but not with any stability until perhaps a million spins have occurred.

That said, to increase your chances of winning a random jackpot, you want to spin the reels as many times as you possibly can with your bankroll. A highly volatile game might give you 10,000 spins from a small deposit thanks to some early big hits, but it also may only give you 500 spins on a normal or bad day.

Remove the volatility and your bankroll will remain more steady with a slower bleed out, allowing you to turn the deposit over again and again with fewer swings.

Granted, it is certainly down to luck no matter what you do, and it is possible to win a random on a $0.20 bet with your first spin - but this 'strategy' has worked for me over the years and I credit it with some very nice wins. Your mileage may vary.

Aussie slots

RTG may have been born in Atlanta Georgia USA but they didn't have much of an offering before the Dynamite studios in Australia started to produce video slots for them. Decades-old games like Aladdin's Wishes, and Cleopatras Gold, still enjoy a rabid following of old-timers and new players alike.

The games are simple yet intense, and there's a wide range of maths models to satisfy any playstyle or mood du jour.

Newer games

We're not sure where the studios are located now, but we can't find them in Sydney or anywhere else in Oz. Perhaps Malaysia? One thing is certain - when the company decided to up their game with Asian-centric releases the thrill factor went through the roof on some of the new titles.

Ancient Gods, Cai Hong, Dragon Orb, Shanghai Nights, and Three Kingdom Wars along with many other Asian themed slots are not only great executions in theme, but many of them also have unique bonus mechanics that can light a mediocre session on fire in no time.

Other new games with western themes also have advanced feature games or other unique elements that aren't found in titles from other makers.

Bubble Bubble comes in two versions and Cash Bandits now has two sequels, each building on the success of the last. It's hard to imagine what they'd come up with if they ever released a 4th title in the franchise.

Look for revisits of games in the legacy library too. 5 Wishes takes a riff on Aladdin's Wishes, Achilles Deluxe is similar but different than the original title, Enchanted Garden II pays homage to the near day one favorite, and Hillbillies Cashola is a new take on the familiar theme of yore.

Novelty slots

I hesitate to call games without spinning reels slots, but that's just me. Cubee is a strange little game...

Snowmania is a cascading reels game with increasing multipliers for successive winning spins as is Pulsar. Dr. Winmore is a robot-themed game with cascades and multipliers.

Video poker

All the time-one favorite paytables and hand counts are here. RTG rebuilt the interface when the suite was repurposed for HTML5 delivery. The new versions of the games don't look as clunky and you won't have to reload the whole game from the server to change coin size. Welcome to the 2020s!

Live dealer games

Visionary iGaming (ViG) provides the live dealer suite. The integration is different than you will find at most gaming sites with a separate lobby opening in a new tab, rather than popping out or popping over the main lobby.

Here you will transfer funds from your bankroll with a single click. When you are ready to return to the regular lobby, simply "Return Funds to main balance" and your secure transfer will be completed immediately.

Games in the studio include blackjack, roulette, and baccarat with bet limits from $1 to $2500 per game.

If all five blackjack tables are full (7 seats each) you can still get into the game with unlimited Bet Behind.

Look for European and American roulette wheels and choose your Live croupier or play auto roulette.

Baccarat includes Super 6 side bets. Two tables are available in the lobby.

Bonuses and Promotions

Nearly all new sites offer a generous welcome bonus or even multi-stage welcome package to attract new players. The marketing logic is that if you come in and play the games, and like what you see, you might come back and maybe even become a regular customer.

Many sites get a little tight with deposit incentives once they've made the effort to get you through the virtual doors.

This site is different...

Players can grab a high percentage match bonus any day of the week. The deciding factor for players is often whether or not they want the extra playtime enough to accept a cashout limit when they win.

No venue could stay in business by offering you three extra playing chips for every chip you buy if they allowed you to cash out as much as you want.

Huge bonuses like 240% + 40 extra spins, 250% + 50 extra spins, and 260% + 60 extra spins come with high wagering requirements (35xb+d) and max cashouts, usually 30x the deposit amount.

How to decide..?

If you think you will beat the bonus and cash out the max in 1 out of 30 deposits, it's a good deal math-wise. If you really enjoy the extra playtime or even simply like to bet more on some spins than you normally would, it can also be a smart move.

When the random jackpots are climbing fast, or if you play games like Eagle Shadow Fist that start out with jackpots over $10,000 you might want to think twice about playing with the welcome bonus, or any other with max cash out. There are plenty of juicy match bonuses with no cap on the amount you can win and cash out.

Game of the Month

Each month a new game is chosen to offer extra spins on to go along with your percentage match. You can use the bonus more than once, more than once per day... you can use the Game of the Month bonus three times each day, all month long!

Upon launch, the offer was 160% match plus 60 free spins and NO MAX CASHOUT.

Special Bonus

This one is valid once per day and offers a larger percentage match for larger deposits. This bonus has a max cashout of 30x deposit.

Watch out for different wagering requirements as well as game weightings for RNG table and card games whenever "all games" are allowed. For instance, roulette bonuses come with a 60xb+d turnover - and - the bets are only weighted at 10% for a final wagering requirement is actually 600x the bonus plus deposit when you play roulette.

Banking and Customer Service

All deposits are instant and free of charge with the occasional exception of Bitcoin which can take up to 15 minutes depending on network congestion.

Look for local favorites with Neosurf and POLi for Canada and Australia as well as instant gift cards, Visa, and Mastercard.

Payouts are done to Visa, Mastercard, via Bitcoin, and by Bank Wire. No fees are charged on the casino end but the minimum withdrawal amount is $150.

Bitcoin payments arrive within 24 hours and up to 3 business days. Card payments appear in 3 or 4 business days and bank wires should appear within 5 business days.

Customer care

Live phone support is available around the clock and so is Live chat. Toll-free phone numbers are posted for the US and Australian customers. For players elsewhere, you can go on live chat and ask for a call back if you need to talk on the phone.

Pitfalls

  • High wagering requirements (Min. 35x bonus+deposit)
  • Max cashout on big bonuses (30x deposit)
  • High minimum cashout
  • No clickable license link (Curacao)
  • Player classifications not crystal clear

The Final Word

Las Atlantis Casino joins the highly respected family of online casinos that includes El Royal, RedDog, Aussie Play, and Slots Empire with another masterfully executed artistic theme.

Player security is job #1 here so players can relax and enjoy the games secure in the knowledge they are in good hands.

There is only one software provider for RNG games and one provider for live dealer games, but almost every possible game type is offered. Unless they have debuted it since this review, you won't find Sic Bo. Look under "specialty games" to find craps, keno, and animated fixed odds games.

The slots selection is broad and deep with several Real Series 3-reel games as well as a handful of 6-reel slots. New games are released at least once each month and often at a much faster clip. Very few new titles are clunkers. In my opinion, Halloween Treasures is the only "dog" to come out in several years. Most of the new titles are simply thrilling to play.

The bonus system is simple and transparent. You'll need to claim any bonus before you start to play. Wagering requirements, max bets, restricted games, and any max cashouts are clearly and transparently displayed with each offer.

Las Atlantis Casino is good to go!

Ive never had any reason to stay away from las Atlantis, one weekend I even withdrew some good money from there. I know full well they seem a bit sheisty to others, though I keep going back and trying. I'll probably keep trying until they do something definitive to disprove my trust.

This casino is a sham! It took about 3 hours for my deposit to complete and after all that waiting I didn’t even win a dime. Waste of time and money.

I came really close to clearing a Rollover from a free chip here. Was tempted to make a deposit after receiving a lot of nice bonus emails but really glad I didn't after reading some of these reviews. Will definitely not play this one anymore.

I haven’t personally played here in over a year now so this is just from my personal experience from a year or so ago and obviously this could be outdated and no longer the issues it still has. First issue was they were dishonest with their bonus advertisements and I deposited after I seen on lcb they were ranked number on pretty much every site in almost every category so I do the deed finish my play through and they tell me I can’t cash out because they deducted what the bonus amount was and after the deduction the amount I’m withdrawing no longer qualifies and then I play strategic and smart and I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t experience it but I lost on literally every spin from there on out and that’s after being spoken to like I was some re re.. personally that alone made me not wanna mess with them and set the stage for what I expect from every rtg site from here on out

It didn’t take too long for me to get an opinion about this casino. The experience playing the games was about average but everything else about the casino is below average from the payouts to the customer support to the bonuses everything was way below average

I'm kinda of bummed out about the payout experience. I was looking to broaden my casino choices, but now I'm a little scared after reading g about the payout issues. Personally I liked the layout. But now I'm scared of depositing. Hope they turn things around.
