LadyLuck Casino Review Jump to comments
LadyLuck is an online casino launched in 2021. It's one of three that allow users to sign in to a single account and play wherever they want within the network.
Running on the RTG platform, players in the USA and elsewhere will find all of their old Realtime Gaming favorites like Achilles and Cleopatras Gold along with new classics like Asgard alongside SpinLogic titles like Achilles Deluxe and Asgard Deluxe.
Sister sites on the network include RedCherry and TripleSeven. We don't find a live link for the license but, that's not too unusual for a site with a UK-based support team that accepts players from the USA, Australia, Canada, and other underserved markets with murky online gambling laws.
Visitors will find three different ways to play up to 400 different gambling games from slots, video poker, and blackjack to bingo and keno, depending on the channel. The mobile games play perfectly on Android or iOS - desktop systems like mac and Windows access the lobby, cashier, and games using any modern web browser, and PC users can download a desktop client with every game in the catalog.
Free play is welcome and you don't need to register an account to try out the games.
Play incentives include a generous, multi-faceted welcome, daily and weekly offers, cashback, and extra juicy high-percentage matches for Bitcoin depositors. Many of the matches can be taken again and again - some on the same day.
Banking options may be country-specific but there are a lot of options from plastic cards to vouchers and eWallets, as well as locally popular methods such as Yandex and Neosurf.
We mentioned earlier that there's no visible license on the site. One clue that the license is issued in Curacao is the fact that players there, as well as in the Netherlands, Costa Rica, and the United Kingdom are not allowed to sign up.
Our research indicates the owners are likely located in Costa Rica, and we already know that customer support comes out of the United Kingdom. It's anyone's guess why French and German players are not accepted except that both countries have strict online gambling laws and require licensing in situ.
Many legendary online operators like iNetBet or their sister sites as well as Intertops (EveryGame) and others also choose not to display their licenses. Many have operated since the 1990s with good track records.
We find a representative of the operating company, TheOnlineCasino (TOC) engaging on public forums. There have been no complaints about prolonged document verification, slow pay, or any of the other common pitfalls. They do limit withdrawals to one per day and cryptocurrency withdrawals can incur a small fee.
Positive comments so far about related sites mention a free chip, a good variety of slots, easy document verification, and a quick withdrawal process.
Since the first of the three sites only launched about a year ago as of this writing, we don't have a lot of history to go on. The better side of that is that since all three of these venues operate as good as 'skins' of each other with all terms and conditions, deposit and withdrawal options, customer service, and management being the same - we can paint any new addition to the group with the same brush as any elder sibling.
So far, so good!
With that let's take a deeper look at the games and gambling experience, the bonus offers along with the specific terms (which can change over time), how to get your deposit in and your winnings out, customer service, any general or specific terms or conditions to look out for - especially if you are new to go online gaming, and then we'll wrap up the review with a final word or two on what we've learned for you.
We'll start with the...
Software and Games
Since we know that all sites on the RTG platform use lobbies programmed by the company - and these are just HTML5 markup language to show things in your browser whether on a handheld or stationary device, we decided to try the download client first.
After clicking Download Now we clicked the lower left part of the screen on a Chrome browser and our local system took over asking if we want to run the software.
After seeing the program (RTG Downloader) and checking the certificate (issued to Chancers Technology B.V.) we were satisfied from experience that it was a safe operation.
When the download was complete we launched the program. It loaded in under 3 minutes which was great for an inaugural launch and then alerted that updates were needed.
One complaint I've had over the years with the RTG platform is that, for security reasons, it has to completely disengage your computer in order to load newly released games. Also, the download client can't be used without the entire framework, which includes any patches and new game code. The good thing about that is that it only installs the framework, you don't have to download every single game in its entirety before you open it again - as was the case with Microgaming casinos in the past.
For many people, that's reason enough to just pass by the download client and play instant games in a browser or on a smartphone. And admittedly, when I just want to collect a weekly bonus or have a few quick spins I do that myself. But when I want a serious session, and I see from the web lobby that there is a new game, I mentally prepare myself for the extra five minutes or so at the onset to get up to speed with a download client for my desktop.
You might ask yourself...
Why use the download casino at all?
Well, it's a personal choice. Yes, they are constantly converting the library of legacy games onto the browser-based HTML5 framework - and - all new games from SpinLogic are released for all three channels - but - I'm a hardcore RTG player and when I get the undeniable urge to play certain games that only exist on the desktop, well I want to be able to play them.
So far, games like Triton's Treasures, Mystic Dragon, and even time-one favorites such as Derby Dollars can only be found here. In time, they all might be migrated to the omnichannel platform, but for now...
When I want my Monster Mayhem, I want my Monster Mayhem.
The odd thing is, I must play a little differently when I use the desktop... it's the only thing that can explain how I think I win more often on it. Also, nearly all of my huge screenshot wins have been captured using the desktop. It's just a personal preference in the end.
Instant play & mobile
The mobile and instant play suites hold almost any game you want. The main exceptions are the less popular legacy games that haven't been converted from Flash yet and a few specialty titles like Roaring Twenties Bingo with Random Jackpots as well as a couple of animated scratch cards.
Video Slots
The RTG claim to fame was always their innovative Real Series Random Jackpot slots. The games were also almost always configurable by players who might want to mess around a little bit with a game's volatility by choosing fewer than the maximum number of lines.
SpinLogic still produces games with jackpots, but very few of them allow you to choose the number of lines to play. This won't matter to most players, but for those who care, there are still hundreds of legacy games to choose from.
The random jackpot is simply a prize, usually seeded at $1,000, that grows a little bit more with every bet placed on the game. They are managed locally, so they don't grow into the millions like a network progressive might - but - the operators do have the ability to pool them. In most cases, this would be noticed by seeing two or more games with the same jackpot amount.
What's good about that?
The jackpots grow faster because all play on those titles contributes to the jackpot value of every game in the pool!
What's maybe not so good about that?
The fact it's growing faster means more potential triggers are being sent and they should fall faster.
How does it work out in the end?
Fewer people will win more money on one hand and it might not be you. On the other hand, when you do win it could be for a lot more money!
The best thing about the games is that any sized bet is eligible to win the jackpot. While the odds might be much lower, it is possible to bet $0.01 on a single line and pull down the prize. I've seen over $10,000 awarded on a $0.07 bet in the past.
We don't have any data to confirm it and it escapes anecdotal evidence, but some players believe that the games with no random jackpot should have a higher theoretical return to player percentage (RTP). This seems to be based on reading paytables that state in some instances, "No more than 1.5% of the RTP goes to the progressive jackpot".
Some of the games are simply stunning and the appeal can go beyond that once-in-a-million lucky spin. Asgard Deluxe is a hard nut to crack but it can pay huge dividends when lucks runs on your side against its volatility. Mardi Gras Magic and Miami Jackpots are appealing not just for the beautiful women on the reels but because they can stack up to fill entire reels and then exploding jackpots can come along and fill your screen with a very high-paying beautiful picture indeed.
One of my favorite Spin Logic Games may have come out of the RTGAsia labs, I'm not sure. But whenever I'm up a bit I like to spend some time on Wu Zetian.
The game has been out since early 2019 but it never seems to lose its luster for me. I avoided it for a while because of its huge 2x3 symbols that could appear on the second and third reels and then shift over to the third and fourth. But when I looked at the paytable and gave it a few spins, I instantly fell in love.
Land 3, 4, or 5 Gong symbols on adjacent reels to fill them with a mega symbol with locked icons for the duration of your free spins. Even the wild Pearl can cover 12 of 15 positions.
3-Reels
These are not your grandfather's Las Vegas one-arm bandits. They are modern slots with modern mechanics and a wide variety of maths models.
777 (not usually available when playing with a bonus), lets you hold reels, but you have to pay more for the spin. It's not open for bonus play because like Betsofts Momma Mia, you can burn the volatility of a session down to the nibs by buying wild reels.
Magic Mushroom is a cartoonish fantasy game with a locking wild on the middle reel during respins - Scuba Fishing is similar.
The Three Stooges II offers two random jackpots and a symbol-driven jackpot along with plenty of entertainment if you liked the stooges.
Santastic is a medium volatility game with choosable pay lines along with double and triple wild multipliers. It's the sort of game that entertains me when I want to hear the bells go off a lot. Oh, in addition to the smallish local symbol-driven jackpot, the 'bonus trail" can pay up to 2,500x your stake. Merry Christmas anyone?
Tables
This category holds blackjack and 21 variants as well as progressive optional side bet games like Caribbean stud, draw, and hold'em. Look in the "specialty" games section for roulette, keno, etc. Video poker has its own category with over a dozen paytable variants.
Progressives
Along with the side bet poker games that all share a pooled jackpot, and Let'em Ride, which has a stand-alone jackpot, you'll find the network progressive slots in this section.
Jackpot Cleopatra's Gold and JCG Deluxe share a jackpot that's currently over $400,000. There are also a couple of games with jackpots over $1,000,000.00 with one of them much closer to $2m.
Spirit of the Inca has five 'boiling point' jackpots that must fall before a certain level. Each increase in bet level opens up a new jackpot while keeping you in the running for all the smaller ones. With expanding wilds on every reel (a rarity) the game can pay handsomely without ever having to win a progressive.
Bonuses and Promotions
Upon launch, it was possible to mix and match any of the welcome offers - or simply repeat the same one - up to five times.
We won't go too deeply into the current offers because they can easily change over time. However, at the top of this page, you'll find the current offers.
One "...Maybe too good to stick around" offer we see, does need to be mentioned for posterity. If you made a BTC deposit anytime during the previous week, simply email support with the subject line: “Gimme Gimme BTC” on Tuesday. Every 50th email received will get $50 worth of BTC in their account that can be withdrawn immediately, no terms, no wagering, just take the money.
If you decide to play with it, then free chip rules would apply.
Basic terms on bonuses include max bet limits, restricted games on some coupons, and wagering requirements. Each bonus can be different. For instance, a 250% match with no max cashout might require 40x wagering of deposit plus bonus. A 100% match might only have 25x wagering and no max cashout. Chips, spins, and cashback credits will have different wagering requirements and might have a max cashout of $100 or 10x the cashback amount.
Banking and Customer Service
The full list of payments available to you can be found in the cashier section. Please be sure not to sign in using a VPN or other masking technology so the methods available in your region are shown.
Visa, Mastercard, BTC, Neosurf, Yandex, ecoPayz, and other methods are generally available for deposits. Withdrawals should be submitted for payment to your BTC, ecoPayz, or Neteller account. Bank wires and courier checks are also available for payouts but they take longer before you can access your funds.
We weren't able to find the withdrawal minimums or maximums in the terms and conditions so we hope they are in the process of raising withdrawal limits from the current known $1,000 per day. Please check this page for a dynamic update or visit the casino to see current limits and associated fees if any.
The site has 24/7 live chat and customer service available through email. No telephone support is listed. There is no viable responsible gambling information on the site but there is a link to Gamblers Anonymous. While there is no specific FAQ page, the site is well-narrated and novice players can learn almost anything by browsing the web pages or contacting live chat help for specific information.
Pitfalls
- Fairly fresh operation
- No visible license
- Low daily withdrawal limits ($1,000)
- Fees for Bitcoin withdrawals (~2%)
The Final Word
We'll start by returning to "one account, three casinos". One of the advantages of this is that you will only have to do document verification once to play at all three sites. You can also use comps earned at one venue and redeem them for play at another.
The only downside to this isn't really a downside, but more of a "meh". The concept would be more attractive and exciting if each site used a different set of game providers. Sure, some overlap would be fine but this is really just three RTG skins with one unified backend for the most part.
However, each site does have different bonus offers.
Play any bonuses you like
"Your TOC account gives you full access to all the promotions running in all our brands. Play however you like.
The game selection is SpinLogic and RTG, like every other site running on the RTG platform. If you live in an area with many different good game providers, this might not become your one and only gambling home.
Many US players, including me, simply prefer these games. When the bread comes in hundreds of varieties, maybe you can live on bread alone. I'm just not wild about some of the other options like Betsoft, Rival, or Saucify - but that's a personal preference.
The bonus offers are really looking great. I'm not sure if I'll take the big ones at 250% after the site has seasoned a bit - I just don't like grinding out high wagering requirements, but there are better offers for me and I can pick and choose, mix and match. I can easily accept terms like 25xd+b with no max cashout. The $5 bet limit for an active bonus isn't terrible, but I would prefer $10.
I'd be more apt to deposit with Litecoin than BTC because it costs less to buy and I don't like fees on both ends. I don't really want to pay 2% processing on big wins and only be able to pull out $1,000 per day. That is a lot better than some places though, especially if they process on weekends bringing the weekly limit up to $7,000. Perhaps the limits will increase or they will add cheaper cryptos like Litecoin to the mix.
I don't normally jump in first, but over the years I've come to trust my gut more and more. I'll admit I didn't like the 3:1 concept at first because it reminded me of another operator - but, after seeing and learning a bit I get a pretty good vibe for an "unknown-licensed" operation.
The whole package seems like something that would come from a marriage of two groups that I have always trusted and played at. But maybe that's just me. I'll be sure to let loyal readers know if anything ever goes sideways.
