GAMBOLS Casino Review Jump to comments 12
Gambols Casino is an online gambling site that appeared in late 2021 or early 2022. Look for about 500 slots and other RNG games like cards and roulette from a few less than a dozen providers.
Ownership, operations locale, and license status are unknown. The site serves most places on Earth as long as the player is at least 21 years old and it is not specifically illegal to gamble there. When we visited the site the list of specifically prohibited countries was small and included only Belarus, China, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Russia, and Ukraine.
Players from the USA are welcome at Gambols.
Please check the dynamic dropdown menus elsewhere on this page for up-to-date specifics on restrictions, incentives, currencies accepted, payment methods, and any additional details you would want to know ‘at a glance’.
Banking options are currently rather limited and have a high minimum cash-out threshold for most options. Bitcoin and a few other coins are accepted and payouts are also available via bank wire.
Be sure to check the welcome offers on this page in case you visited while an exclusive promotion is being offered as some of the standard terms and conditions for bonuses found online may not be the most attractive - if we can get you a better deal we usually include it in a review.
Unfortunately, with such a non-descript operator that has only been open for a short time, no known sister sites or long-term operational history, and no license made available for inquiry, there’s not much we can say. We can review the product like an inanimate object rather than a living breathing business giving off clues or facts about how likely any given player is going to be happy playing there.
While we find no complaints, the most common grumble or disappointment seems to have been in slow customer service responses and a lack of clarity on just how second and subsequent bonuses work. The good news in that respect is that we have seen a representative giving direct support on one of the larger forums, so that’s always a good sign - but not always a guarantee of satisfaction if a misunderstanding or dispute were to arise.
Being crypto-friendly is good; added promotions like a multi-tier random progressive site-wide jackpot system are great, and birthday bonuses and even tournaments all add value to the experience. Pending times of 3-5 days on cashouts, some bonuses with high turnover requirements, and a relatively sparse game library can all certainly be seen as balancing forces as well.
Software and Games
I was unable to divine a clue as to whom the platform provider might be. It appears to be a bespoke SSL system with no discernable leaks or loose packets. The Live Chat is powered by HelpCrunch. The widget has been GDPR compliant (EU General Data Protection Regulation) since 2018 - in other words, Live Chat is safe and secure as well!
The general menu on the left (desktop) provides helpful links to all games, top titles, bonuses, tournaments, banking, VIP club, a Hall of Fame, and a Help section followed by a clickable list of providers. Choosing a provider such as Spade Gaming will bring up all of their games on-site.
Some of the game selection could indicate that the platform is SoftSwiss but it could just as readily be SoftGamings or another solid software host. Brands like BGaming, Belatra, Endorphina, and Igrosoft might simply function more smoothly or with less integration for the operator if the internal currency is crypto-first.
A few other names to look for here are KA Gaming, Mascot, Betsoft, Amigo, and ElBet as well as Zeus Play and LuckySlots. Zeus is new to me whereas Lucky games seem to be a rebrand of other more well-known slots (GameArt) perhaps for certain jurisdictions. Please drop a note following this review if you know more about these brands and what your experiences have been.
All of the games we looked at were available in demo mode.
In the general games category, there are two sections for floor games - one is “card games” and the other is “roulette”.
Bonuses and Promotions
There is an ever-present marquee of offers acting as a promotional slide show near the top of most pages. When you choose the Bonuses link you may already be familiar with the main offers. One more choice will get you to the important information about the offers.
Separate welcome bonuses are offered for slots and for card games but only one bonus can be used at a time.
In order to get creative, the bonus terms have become a bit complicated but only if you try to digest the entire welcome package at once. Taking it one deposit offer at a time makes it as easy to understand as step 1, step 2, etc.
Match bonuses have no max cashout stipulations unless otherwise stated. Max bet with a bonus is $10. Be sure to drop your balance below a dollar to be eligible for cashback, free chips, or other bonuses.
The slot bonus we studied was a match bonus. In case of no cashout, a 100% “cashback” free chip with 5x max cash out is offered. The second and third deposit bonuses are similar with a match, the same wagering requirements, and a 50% free chip if you aren’t able to come to a cashout.
The card game welcome bonus comes with similar terms and slightly higher wagering requirements. When roulette bonuses are offered they also have higher wagering.
Banking and Customer Service
Banking is most likely to be location-specific, and it may be evolving to serve players better. The reason I say that is because the website banking section lists deposit and withdrawal options that weren’t found in the actual cashier - for my location. That doesn’t mean you absolutely can’t deposit and withdraw using Visa/Mastercard/AmEx - but I didn’t find that option.
They do mention that although they reserve the right to choose a final withdrawal method, some of the terms indicate that your deposit method will most likely be the way you will withdraw. And that brings us to processing times.
Plan on a withdrawal to sit in pending status for at least 3 days, and maybe five (depending on the time and day you initiate it), and then to be paid in 1-3 business days in crypto or 5-7 banking days for bank wires or credit and debit card withdrawals. That’s just the way it is with many US-facing operations, sometimes it’s not easy to get the money through the systems.
To quote the operator: “All deposits and withdrawals are safe, secure and comply with all the requirements set for this kind of online transactions. All processing procedures are automotized to make sure your deposits and withdrawals are executed in the swiftest manner.
“Shall you have any question regarding deposit methods - please do not hesitate to contact our Support.”
The site administrators also note that due to 3rd party processing limitations or policies the amount paid or processed per week or month may vary. Under optimal conditions, you should be able to reasonably expect to receive up to $4,000 per week in withdrawals.
Customer care
Live chat is billed as available 24/7. You’ll also find a telephone number to call. Email support is also provided. The Help section offers plenty of handy suggestions and answers for novice and experienced players alike.
Here’s one…
What are the working hours of Finance Department?
Finance Deparment works Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 17:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
Pitfalls
- No Live dealer games
- No license on display
- Limited banking options
- Relatively long pending time on cashouts (3-5 days)
- High minimum withdrawal threshold ($100 wire, $200 BTC)
- Unproven/unknown operator
The Final Word
Gambols Casino offers players almost everywhere a unique selection of online slots and table games. Many of the titles can be found elsewhere, but this particular selection which includes Zeus Play, Amigo, elbet, and Luckyslots is a first for this reviewer.
The overall collection is fairly limited by today’s standards, but the day I need more than 500 slots to get lucky is the day my luck has probably run out. I like the variety, new releases, and some old favorites in the slots zone and would try my hand at some of the RNG blackjack, poker, and roulette tables without an active bonus.
The bonus scheme is unique to this particular gaming site as far as I know and looked a bit overwhelming at first glance. However, when I realized the terms were clear, concise, and individualized for each successive offer of the Welcome Bonus - as well as distinct for slots and card games, everything fell right into place.
The nutshell summation is that the match offer is generous, the wagering requirement is reasonable (30xd+b), the max bet is fair at $10, and there is no max cashout term attached. If I took full advantage of all three stages of the welcome offer, I’d have $8,000 in bonus funds to play with and $2,000 in free chips.
That assumes no cashout in the process as the ‘free chips’ come as ‘cashback’ with wagering requirements and max cashouts applied. The match bonuses themselves allow ‘unlimited’ cashouts. A second chance (even when given 3x) is still “gratis”, so increased wagering and limited cashouts from the ‘booby prize’ offers are certainly fair.
On the other hand, I don't know who these guys are so I have nothing to compare except the terms to what I consider fair, and the terms are fair in my well-informed and well-reasoned opinion.
Payouts take too much time to process, in my opinion, and the bonusing system may not be intuitive to a beginner or novice - that, coupled with reports of customer service not being easy to reach make it difficult to suggest that unseasoned players try it - but that could just be my perception, not everyone is as impetuous or impulsive as I was when I started gambling online.
Players who have trouble biding their time or tend to reverse cashouts might end up disappointed here when house edge does what house edge is designed to do.
As an experienced player, I find the terms to be fairly harsh, but fair. “Harsh” is a relative term. While the math tells me 30x wagering is tough, it’s still better than many and much better than most when you consider there is no max cashout. The fact that the terms are clear and fair and not ‘too good to be true’, means that I might reserve final judgment until just before my next deposit - that is, of course, if I haven’t been spoiled completely by instant cashouts or full payment within 24 hours elsewhere.
