DuitNow Online Casinos

DuitNow is a Malaysia-based instant payment system that works for online gambling. Part of the PayNet network of financial products, the eWallet can be funded with a local Maybank account.

Some of the funding methods include Boost, CIMB, GrabPay, Maybank, ShopeePay, and Touch ‘n Go.

The product came online on December 1, 2018, but almost everyone with a bank account was expecting it after Malaysian banks began promoting it via SMS messages to their customers.

DuitNow is used to make bank transfers simple and secure with users only needing to enter easily recalled details such as their IC Number or mobile number.

The parent company, PayNet is owned in the majority by Bank Negara Malaysia with nearly a dozen other major banks also being shareholders. PayNet earlier developed systems such as JomPAY, MyDebit, FPX, and GIRO. These are the frameworks and systems that handle nearly all Malaysian digital payments and digital banking.

Since it is designed to be easy to use no matter how often you might forget numbers, customers have a variety of unique identifiers they can use such as a Mobile number, MYKad/Passport number, Army/Police number, or Business Registration number.

Various DuitNow Products

DuitNow Transfer is the primary product of value to online casino players. It is a convenient and simple way to pay out to any other entity with a DuitNow ID.

The three-step process consists of logging in, finding the icon to send, entering the casino or other business's recipient ID, and confirming the details to send. That simple!

In addition to the DuitNow Transfer option, which players use to fund their online casino accounts, the facility also offers a couple of other options for all-around banking and payment processing.

DuitNow QR

DuitNow QR is exactly what it sounds like. A smartphone-based app that allows Malaysians to receive funds or make payments to any participating eWallet or Bank by using a single QR code. The innovation here is that it is an interoperable QR standard.

To use the DuitNow QR app on your phone simply launch your favorite eWallet or mobile banking app and scan the participating merchant's DuitNow QR. Next, simply confirm the details and you will receive a payment confirmation. It's that simple!

To receive payments the process is essentially the same. The DuitNow website offers links to help you generate QR codes for Alliance Bank, AmBank, Hong Leong Bank, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC, Public Bank, and UOB.

Businesses should contact their online bank for information on fees and charges.

We checked one well-known and trusted Malaysian online casino and found no fees for the instant deposit method with minimum deposits of 50 RM and maximum deposits of 10,000 RM. Withdrawals were also being processed without charge via local bank transfer, ecoPayz, and Neteller.

All methods were stated as processed within 4 hours.

DuitNow FAQ

Is it okay to use DuitNow to deposit at an online casino?

Yes. According to the terms and conditions, the only gambling restrictions are on the merchant and then only for DuitNow QR. There is no mention of “gambling and/or gaming activities” in the DuitNow Transfers section for AmBank Malaysia. (See the full T&C in .PDF format here).

Which banks support DuitNow Transfer?

Nearly all of them, if not all. Transfers are available on the internet using an eWallet and through the mobile banking channels of more than 40 Malaysian banks.

Can I cash out winnings to my app?

While the online casino we researched for this payment method didn’t allow for cashouts, there are several other ways including local bank transfers to land your winnings safely and conveniently. That’s not to say that your favorite online gaming site won’t process a payout, it’s a simple matter of registering your account and providing your DuitNow ID to the operator.

Do I need to register my DoitNow account?

There’s no need to register if you are only going to use the product to deposit funds. However, if you ever wish to receive payments through your account, a one-time registration is required in order to link your unique ID with a bank account or eWallet.

Can I use a bonus with a DuitNow deposit?

Yes. Unlike Neteller or Skrill which are payment methods many online operators will not accept for welcome bonuses, Duitnow doesn’t expose the operator to any undue risk and is actually extremely safe for them to use, as it is safe for you. Some operators may even offer special bonuses for players who use the payment method. Regardless you should be able to take advantage of any bonus you would be able to use with another common payment method.

Are there any fees for using DuitNow at an online casino?

No, there shouldn’t be. All deposits are free of charge up to 5,000 R. Some banks may charge up to 50 cents for transfers over 5,000 R, but most banks waive this fee.
