Affiliate Edge was once an excellent casino group and affiliate program managing several partner brands:

A change of ownership

Inexperienced and morally challenged ones, to be more precise. The same thing that has caused the downfall of numerous other operators that were once leaders in the iGaming field. 

The troubles with Affiliate Edge started in October 2016. It was around this time, that we were notified about the new management, even though they claimed most of the staff remained.

It was also around this time - and this is to say as soon as the new owners took over (rumor has it they are being''expertly'' advised by Affpower), wasting no time - that what was formerly known as CWC group started a very harmful practice...

...colloquially known as ''player shaving'', or ''detagging''.

Now:

While these terms may sound foreign or confusing to people outside of the business...

...they simply mean that players referred to casinos by and via affiliate websites and portals, get silently and illegally removed from affiliate accounts. 

Since referring customers is the way casino affiliates generate income, this implies:

They were losing revenue due to Affiliate Edge's cheating tactics.

Soon, every gaming-related portal knew what was up, and was advised to stop any cooperation or contact with this, now rogue, brand.

Why should players care

Even though most players themselves felt unaffected by this sudden change in both the management and the quality of service...

...the fact is that such predatory operators disadvantage and, for all intents and purposes, rob clients who trust them.

What reason does a player have to believe this group won't do the same to them?
