About the Company
MrSlotty is an innovative online casino game developer established in 2013 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The company provides HTML5 slot games for mobile and desktop online casino play in full 1080p HD quality.
The game coding is super-lean with an average load weight of just 3.2MB per game on average.
The company claims 7 RNG certificates to the GLI-19 standard and we can find references to six of those: UK, Malta, Italy, Denmark, Gibraltar, and the Isle of Man.
While we don't find the developer to be directly licensed by any regulators, the games are carried on platforms that are licensed to operate in the regions the games are offered in. One platform provider/aggregator, iforium, is licensed in Malta, the UK, and Romania.
Not only does the studio produce fast-loading games through judicious use of the latest HTML5 framework for delivery, but the company itself also seems to be lean as well with a small number of highly specialized employees.
The founding investor, Anatoliy Peev, is currently the director. Previous experience in the iGaming world includes a previous position in management at Mybet, a German betting site - as well as at EGamingOnline (EGO), an affiliate support site for Europe located in Limassol, Cyprus. Brands promoted by the company include Play Ojo and Slots Magic.
Some of the gaming sites where you will find MrSlotty titles include BetChain, PlayAmo, Bob, BetWinner, JOO, and Oshi to name a few.
Not much else is known about the maths minds in the lab, the artists in the studios, programmers, or developers so we're left with examining the games from the front-end back or from the outside looking in when we look at the software and games a little further on in our review.
Loberta UAB and Slotos UAB are business names sometimes associated with the developer. It seems to have taken them a couple of years from the time of their 2013 launch to get up and running at full steam. We first see their games finding distribution around late 2016 and early 2017.
Thanks to some very smart distribution deals that were probably fueled at least in part by operator and player requests, the games can now be found at hundreds of online casinos.
A very brief listing of partners who help get the slots to casinos and ultimately to the players would include such firms as iforium, iSoftBet, EveryMatrix, BetConstruct, WorldMatch, BetInvest, SoftSwiss, SoftGamings, and BetMotion.
Software and Games
All games come in Native HTML5 for play on any device connected to the internet running a web browser. Any device running Safari, Opera, Edge, Chrome, or Firefox can access the slots.
Redundant servers are located in Europe and in Asia to provide uninterrupted delivery of the games. All currencies and cryptocurrencies are supported as are all languages.
Some of the Mr Slotty product highlights include:
Frequent usability testing by slot players and other gamers on social platforms. The games can be Beta tested for user experience with a launch on virtual coin 'gambling' sites so the company can gather feedback and make improvements before launching them for real money play.
Superfast load times with game weights hovering around 3MB - this is much smaller than most online video slots and up to five-fold lighter than converted Flash games that were not created in HTML5.
Full 1080p HD quality display - but only if the receiving device can use that resolution. Lower resolution packets can load if the browser-read indicates 720p. Only the needed resources are used to support the games.
Our tests on smartphone, tablet, and HD widescreen in 720p and 1080p as well as 4k rendered striking results with no lag. The performance of background animations, sound effects, and win celebrations were virtually indistinguishable from one device to another.
Graphics have been created in 17 different languages but the user interface is universal and intuitive so there's no need to translate buttons or the like when the games are deployed in other languages.
One thing operators will like which players may not is that the RTP is configurable. However, we do not know the parameters or what it takes to affect a change like that.
It can be assumed as standard industry practice that the game would be ordered and delivered with a certain RTP and it would remain at the percentage until replaced by a new iteration.
That is not uncommon anywhere in Europe and is considered proper by all regulators - even the UKGC - as long as the RTP is displayed for players in Great Britain.
Built-in performance features on all games include:
- Variable pay lines
- Stop/Spin manual
- Turbo mode
- Autoplay
- Turbomode in autoplay
- Double/quadruple-up bonus games
The range of game configurations run from single reel to six reels and up to 100 pay lines or 4,000 Ways to win.
Game diversity
Everything Mr Slotty makes is unique. Players will find artwork that runs the gamut from pencil-sketch minimalism to intensely detailed vibrant color schemes. Even the tried and true themes are not tired and true, but each offers a unique twist.
We would normally refer to artwork like that presented in some of these games as "rudimentary" or even "primitive" but we find these games to be purpose-built and establish a coined genre to some degree.
They make their games the way they do on purpose, not because they can't do anything different.
She/He Beach, Meme Faces, and No More Fruits actually reside in harmony with brilliantly illustrated and animated titles like Super Dragons Fire and Trendy Skulls.
There's also a whole cross-section of titles that bridge the chasm between the extremes such as emoji slot, Enchanted Sevens, and Unicorn Gems.
Another of the mid-range games is Gods of Egypt. You can read our full review of the game by using the preceding link.
Meme Faces
What you see is what you get with this game, and that's a good thing. It downloads with blistering speed even on a 3G connection and takes up very little room in your cache.
The "color scheme" is naught in this monochromatic rendition with an accent of red here and there!
Wild symbols and free spin symbols up the ante, but that's about it aside from the gamble game.
Super Dragons Fire is a game that proves you can pack a lot of punch into a game that opens right away and will never heat up the battery on your handset.
It's a standard configuration 5x3 slot with 25 variable pay lines. Players can bet up to 100 coins per line on 1-25 lines. Like most of the games they make, there are no advanced bonus mechanics like expanding wilds, sticky wild respins, or multi-level progressive free spins.
777 Diamonds
This is another typical and representative title. The layout is 5x3 with 25 variable bet lines. The 777 symbol is wild and three or more Triple-Bars on a pay line will trigger 1, 3, or 10 free spins.
That's it! You gotta dig it. You can click this link to play the demo game.
The Final Analysis
Players like the games because they are unsophisticated, fast, easy to play, and occasionally profitable. Operators will love these games because they attract players.
The games are simple and straightforward. You won't find help screens running ten layers deep in order to explain a feature mechanic. The flip side of that is that you also might miss having rich mathematical content and surprising feature mechanics.
To be fair, we didn't try every one of their titles. We chose about half a dozen games at random to test out of nearly 50 - so it's possible - though exceedingly unlikely - that we simply missed any titles with advanced bonus play.
The playing entertainment seems to lie in the maths, volatility, hit rate, and RTP and that's okay when attended by unique, innovative, and some might say slightly "twisted" themes.
They are fun games and that's what really matters!
