Theme

It’s the bout to push the other guy out, as two sumo wrestlers face off in a ring in front of the excitement of the cheering crowd.

Yggdrasil is known for their graphically sharp releases such as Robotnik and many others, but they have outdone themselves with this offering. The ring and the background are superbly animated and the two wrestlers in the center constantly move around in expressive ways.

Special Features

The player takes control of one of two sumo wrestlers and battles against opponents. They are Riku and Haru and they have special skills that are active in the base game and in the extra spins mode.

The first one randomly adds 1 or 2 wilds in the base game and more wilds in the extra mode and Haru uses his skills to add multipliers.

The battle itself consists of wrestlers trying to push each other out of the ring. This is done by the player making winning combinations.

If the player wins from the left the opponent is pushed and vice-versa for wins from the right.

The mode ends when one of the fighters is eliminated. If the player wins they go on to the semifinals and then to the finals where they face against Yokozuna himself.

Should they win against this fearsome foe, all the winnings will be doubled.

Our Take

The developer should be commended for choosing a fresh and new setting in a sea of Chinese dragons, Egyptian books, and fruit machine homages.

They should be further praised for a making a game with terrific graphics and spectacular presentation.

Add to it all the great gameplay and this becomes a must see game.
