About the Company

XIN Gaming (XG) is an online casino software and game provider. As the name may suggest the company works extensively in the Asian markets, but they do not limit the company's services to a single region. Some of the history of the company is difficult to parse but our best research indicates it was founded by Mathias Larsson in 2014 with headquarters in Manila Philippines.

In a surprise move, XG acquired the Swedish company, Tain in 2016 giving them a game portfolio of casino, poker, and bingo games along with a major betting exchange and platform system with payment gateways. The legacy of Tain now resides within XIN Gaming.

Tain launched in 1999 and merged with Sweden's then 10-year-old Betting Promotions in 2013. Betting Promotions handled hundreds of millions of euros every year in betting exchange turnover. It's currently unclear where XG starts and Tain stops as XG mentions in their text, but don't seem to provide certain services that seem to still be marketed under the Tain name. It would appear the XG is the 'game face' of the operation and the elder company provides white labels, game aggregation (including third party content from NetEnt and Microgaming) licensing, payment processing, etc.

Software and Games

The original Tain content along with unique titles and possibly region/language specific variations are found in HTML5 format at XG. The main suites are slots, table games, and video poker. While the games were originally delivered in the Flash format, the website now says they are HTML5 - this means that they are available for any device with no downloads or plugins needed.

While some slot titles, such as Mr. XIN are obviously new creations, many of them were added with the acquisition. The Mob, Soccer Challenge, and Cafe de Paris come to mind immediately. Of the 90 or so slot titles we also find the majority to have Asian titles and themes. Shanghai Bund, Year of the Monkey, Phoenix & Dragon, and God of Bag Monk Fortune are just a few.

There are also quite a few anime or hentai themed games such as Fantasies, Sky Guardians, and Investiture of Gods.

The table games section comprises mostly legacy games like baccarat, blackjack, and roulette along with some hi-lo titles. There also seem to be new video poker titles.

One offering is called the Jackpot Lobby with multiple progressive machines, various bet zones ranging from 0.01 to 100.00 coin sizes, real-time jackpot data with each of the 100 machines connected to its own jackpot, and player interaction that allows all players to see the winning screens of others playing the same machine. Players can chat with each other onscreen as well.

More than 20 casinos carry slots from the provider including Fun88, Luckybet89, and Bullbet.

The Final Analysis

We didn't get a chance to play the Asian titles, but the splash screens for them were impressive. Without a look at the pay tables and maths models, it's hard to say too much about the proprietary games. However, the company seems ready, willing, and able to work with operators including re-engineering or tweaking existing games to fit any given market.
