Uncharted Seas is a video slot from Thunderkick games. Its unique looking reels may lead you to believe it’s something uncharted in slots territory. But, don’t let looks fool you. It’s really just a standard 5 reel video slot.

The graphics are smooth and crisp with light blue, water like theme throughout. It plays like most other video slots and doesn’t have too much going on to be perfectly honest. There are free spins and wilds, but that’s about it.

Don’t get me wrong, Uncharted Seas does have its reasons to play it. I just wouldn’t call it the most anticipated slot in the world.

There are 5 standard symbols that include various old time looking sea creatures. Three or more in a row are needed to make a win. Other, lower paying symbols include the sun, the moon and the stars. The highest paying symbol is the mermaid.

The control functions are a bit clumsy for my liking, but there are plenty of customization options. The auto play option lets you play up to 5,000 spins hands free.

Uncharted Seas also has hot keys that let you spin using the space bar and bet using other preset keys on the keyboard. Along with volume controls and other standard functions, you can also speed the reels up for faster play. And even adjust the graphics if you are using a device with low resources.

Expanding Wilds

The Uncharted Seas wild symbol takes on 3 forms. It expands across the reel it lands on and starts off as a ship. Once it expands, you witness the sea serpent come from under the ship. As it expands fully, the serpent is lifting the ship off the ocean.

This wild symbol will only show on reels 2, 3 and 4.

Uncharted Seas has one bonus feature; which is the free spins. The compass scatter symbol will trigger a minimum of 10 free spins when 3 or more land on the reels. Land 4 scatters and win 20 free spins. Five scatters triggering the free spins round will award you with 50 free spins.

Final Thoughts

Uncharted Seas is an elegant looking slot that does have a few things going for it. It looks nice, it’s easy to play and has a low bet requirement. The 50 free spins and expanding wilds do make for a bit of excitement as well.

Other than this, it’s a run of the mill video slot that doesn’t do enough to separate it from the pack.
