It’s time to dust off your leisure suit and platform boots because STHLM is taking punters back to the golden age of disco. It’s a real 70s tribute here featuring all the glitz of the hazy and strange decade that was the 1970s.
Helping the journey along in Casino on the House are the two characters. One a lovely assistant type who presents the Pick and Click minigame and one certified lounge lizard acting appropriately as the Wild symbol.
STHLM has chosen to visit a decade that’s famous for being over the top and excessive so let’s see what they have in store.
Theme
The game is set in a casino drenched in neon-pink lights and 70s décor with a huge slot machine being front and center. It’s a realistic depiction of what a night out at a casino might have looked like way back in the time of disco naps and polyester couture.
The symbols in the game…
…are all drawn from the history of casinos themselves and feature lucky 7s, dice, a roulette wheel, and a poker hand as the high paying. Stylized card numbers make up the rest of the cast.
Overall, it’s a snazzy and sophisticated package that convincingly transports players back to a different but nevertheless still glamourous age in Las Vegas history.
Betting Options and Functions
This time-travel adventure is taking place across a 5x3 grid with 30 fixed bet lines. Spinning the reels will take anywhere from 20 cents to a full and crisp 100 euros.
Other features that are expected nowadays include quick spin for those who are in a bit of a hurry and auto spin options. The auto spin comes with advanced controls as well, with punters being able to adjust the number of spins as well as conditions under which the automatic play will be stopped.
Special Features
The seventies were all about excess and sophistication and the developer definitely understands this as the features in the game are quite generous.
Just like many other games from this company such as The Golden Chase, there are extra spins here but with an interesting twist.
Every time the three scatter symbols land…
…the lovely assistant appears and gives the players a chance to pick three cards. Each card confers certain bonuses to the extra spins round that will follow.
These bonuses can be an increase in the number of spins (between 1 and 10), win multipliers (x1 to x4 and multiple cards are added together), the addition of an entire wild reel and a symbol-to-wild conversion card which will turn a random symbol into a wild for the duration of the extra spin.
And that is not all…
…because there is a super-powered version of the extra spins awaiting players who collect 5 golden coins during the base game. Once all five are collected the Super Extra Spins begins and players are given two additional bonus cards for a total of five to draw.
Our Take
STHLM may have only a few games under their belt, but they are clearly a developer to watch out for because they are knocking it out of the park. This game is fresh, interesting, and has very cool features. It’s the whole package and recommended for everyone.
