Here’s another magic-and-myth-themed game from developer PG Soft who’s more or less specializing in this kind of thing. Having run out of actual myths, they are more than ready to invent their own.

This time, players are invited to enter a strange “pea village” where the Pea Fairy will guide them and let them pick out a nice pea to take home. But there’s more, of course. All the peas come with surprises and two magical animals, a spider, and a butterfly give out additional gifts to those who deserve them.

Theme

In this PG Soft game, it’s all about the peas. Peas of different colors, two of which are king and queen peas and high paying, are the symbol.

They live in pods, as expected and instead of having reels that spin – new combinations are actually revealed by the fairy flying over to a new patch of pods and opening them.

This adds a lot of charm to the game and also makes it much more dynamic than the average slot since the entire process is animated in a rich and expressive way that we’ve come to expect from this developer.

It creates an atmosphere of zaniness and whimsy which is unique enough to be interesting.

Betting Options and Functions

The pea pods form a 5x3 grid with 243 win lines because this is another game where traditional lines are abandoned in favor of a consecutive symbol system. As long as any three symbols are on consecutive reels (two for the high paying set) it counts as a win.

Reels are also tumbling here, as any pods with a winning symbol on them are shuffled out of the grid and replaced with new ones.

The minimum bet on this entire process is 30 cents while the maximum bet is only 9 euros which is a little low compared to some other games.

Where this offering really shines is in a large number of special features that make the gameplay more interesting and intense.

There are several base game features centered around the two aforementioned magical animal helpers.

…relates to the butterfly who can turn a single symbol or even all symbols of the same kind wild by appearing randomly at the beginning of a spin. The butterfly can also appear trapped in the spider’s web (the game notes assure us this just a prank and not malicious) and the fairy will slowly remove it over the next few spins. Once the butterfly is free he turns two symbols into wilds.

There are not one but two…

...gamble features present in this title. They are presented by the spider. The First Round Gamble hides two reels from the player and asks them to either Collect which means getting a random bet amount back or opening the reels to see if there’s a win.

During the end of any spin with a win, the spider may appear to offer a classic gamble function. Collect or gamble for a double or nothing win.

There’s more…

…as the extra spins feature also adds its own unique twists. Every spin that has a win will open up one of the flowers and cause tumbling. Up to five flowers can open on each spin and each flower is an x2 multiplier.

PG Soft is back again with another top-shelf product featuring lots of animation, an interesting theme and a vast number of features to keep the experience fresh. As always, the game is mobile-friendly and should not be missed by anyone but especially not by punters who like gaming on their mobile devices.
