Who are Mobilots?

Mobilots is an online casino game developer with offices in Malta and two other international locations. The company was established in 2015 but their games were not well known before being launched at Vista Gaming sites in March 2017. All games are developed and deployed in HTML5, so they can be played on any mobile or stationary device running a web browser. As of review they offer about 30 games and can be found at various bingo sites as well as Vegas Crest Casino.

The company's software is based on an open architecture so the games can be integrated quickly and easily through their scalable plug & play API (application program interface). What that means for players is that the games will start to be found at more and more online gaming sites. For casinos, it means the games can be up and running without a hassle and include multicurrency and multi-language support along with various balance types like cash, bonus, loyalty bonus, etc. The software can be used for small companies or multi-nationals as it is scalable to fit any need.

The Games

The biggest part of their portfolio consists of video slot titles, with 20 games on offer in the category. One exciting thing about their games is that they are available to players in the US, who rarely get to try new developers' products. But their appeal is not limited to English speakers as the games can be deployed in Finnish, French, Maltese, Spanish, or Swedish as well.

Fortune 88 is an Asian themed video slot released in March 2016 with five reels and 30 pay lines. It offers low to medium volatility so it can be played for a long time on a small deposit with lots of low prize returns and occasional big wins. The game features wild symbols, free spins, and a picking bonus round.

It has nice win celebrations for hits of 5x bet or more which can be an annoyance for some players. As deployed at Vegas Crest, not all of the reel set is visible with about half of the bottom row obscured. It also has a minimum bet size of $0.10 per line so you will need to choose less than 30 lines to bet less than $3.00 per spin. The most that can be bet per spin is $90.

Also on offer are a few video poker tiles including Tens or Better, Jacks or Better, and Deuces Wild. The JoB paytable is 9/6 and the full 800:1 jackpot is awarded for Royal Flush when betting 5 coins, making the game "Full Pay" with a 99.54% return assuming optimal strategy.

The game loads quickly and offers a mobile-optimized interface with sound and speed controls as well as the ability to toggle auto-hold on or off. Coin sizes range from $0.10 to $2 for a minimum bet of 0.10 and a max bet of $10 per hand. No double-up game is provided.

Final Analysis

While one or two of the slots with 4 visible reel positions did not display properly on a High Definition desktop screen, the big 5x5 reactor games were fine on desktop and mobile. We were unable to find a licensing jurisdiction or direct contact information on any of their official web pages and the Mobilots trade name didn't appear on Malta Gaming Authority indexes. However, that does not mean they don't have a license somewhere. All sites that we are aware of running the games are licensed.

All in all, they seem like fun games with interesting graphics and features. However, the volatility index is low to medium on all games tested and win celebrations for low bet multiplier wins may not be everybody's cup of tea. The games are easy to find at Vegas Crest, but there don't seem to be any free play versions available there. Some games have high minimum bet levels, which somewhat defeats their appeal to low rollers who like less volatile games. The studios only seem to produce a new game about every two months on average, but they aren't cookie-cutter clones with new images draped over existing engines, so innovation is very much alive at Mobilots.
