Theme

As far as looks go, Spin Bet Station is quite simplistic and a little bit minimalist. As the name implies, the setting is a train station and…

…it’s on one of the platforms where we find the game board in a 3x3 grid that’s styled after those old flip-card displays that used to be at airports and train stations but have since been replaced by LCD screens.

But just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it's unappealing or lazy. There are very nice animations in how the symbols land on the reels. It mimics the actual flip displays really well and it’s a fun throwback to now obsolete technology.

The symbols…

…are letters instead of pictures. X, A, B, O, I, and Z are the only things that will appear on the reels except for the extra spin icon.

This may be a point against the game since all the letters do look alike and there isn’t much variety in the colors and design of the symbols.

Betting Options and Functions

The slot is laid out in a 3x3 fashion with five fixed pay-lines. I order to play one must stake a minimum of 25 cents, while the maximum bet is a pretty staggering 500 dollars. Yes, definitely high-roller vibes here.

Options like autoplay are present with some very in-depth controls to tailor the experience to your needs. There is a fast spin mode as well which will cut down on the animation time of the spins. For those who are in a hurry, obviously an indispensable option.

Special Features

The main feature in this title is the side bet system. In addition to normal gameplay that proceeds like in any other video slot, the side bet feature throws a very fun twist in the mix.

Using this system, punters are able to wager on where on the grid will specific symbols appear. To do so, simply drag the symbol from the right side bet panel into the grid.

The payouts depend on the rarity of the letter, with high-paying symbols giving out a higher bet multiplier. All this info is located to the right of the game board in its own special pane.

Players can make up to three side bets on one spin and select the bet amount for the side bet independently of the main bet. It’s important to note that in the case of a double or triple bet the entire bet has to land. Incomplete outcomes, such as one symbol out of three landing in the correct place, do not count as a win.

That’s not all…

…because there are also extra spins. They have their own special symbol and when three of those pop up on the reels the mode starts. It can also be retriggered but the most interesting thing about it is that any active side bets remain in place with a major twist.

The side bet amount will not be taken from the player’s balance during extra spins.
