Punto Banco from The Art of Games is an online version of the card game sometimes known as baccarat. In this online version players do not need to pass the shoe, or even fully understand the 'third card' hit rules that differ for Player and Banker hands. In this game you can bet on the Banker hand, Player hand, or Tie. After the decision of which result to predict, and how much to stake, the gaming software takes care of all of the intricacies as you watch the game unfold.
The object is to predict which hand will be closer to 9 when the dealing is completed. Hands are scored by adding the cards at face value. J, Q, and K count as 10 and all other cards are given a value equal to their number. It is not possible to get a count that exceeds 9 as the modelo 10 rules takes effect and any 2 digit result has the first digit dropped. For instance a 6/7 hand adds up to 13, drop the first digit and the hand count is 3. A hand containing K/7 (17) is counted as 7. A 3 card hand of 2/3/9 (14) would be scored as 4.
