About the Company

Slot Factory is a unique provider of online real-money gambling games. According to the Gambling Commission in Great Britain, the firm is a white label of Intouch Games Limited of Halesowen, West Midlands, United Kingdom.

That license designation indicates that the company, which currently operates five online casinos,  plans to provide content to other operators. Indeed, we find an announcement from the summer of 2019 that the game aggregator,  Iforium has reached a distribution deal with Slot Factory.

The company was incorporated on April 17, 2019. In August of that year, company papers were amended to show that another Wilson company, Ruskin Properties Limited, owned somewhere between 25% and 50% of the venture. No other owners are listed.

A bit of History

The parent company, Intouch was launched in 2001 as an operator and manufacturer of leisure machines servicing independent bookie shops and the retail pub trade.

In 2006 they gained nomination to supply Marston's, Admiral Taverns, and Scottish & Newcastle. They also introduced the Sound Storm digital MP3 jukebox in 2006.

The next year the Wilsons launched mFortune, their first online brand featuring slots, roulette, blackjack, and poker games for mobile devices.

The mFortune label launched two new titles in 2008 - Bingo and a slot game called Pirate's Treasure.

Annual game releases continued and in 2010 the company separated its leisure machine business from its mobile and online activities. They also christened their second online casino that year, PocketWin.

By 2012 the company had grown substantially and began to see recognition from its peers with "Best Poker Operator" kudos at the mGaming Awards, "Product of the Year" accolades at the EGR Operator Awards.

By 2014 the firm employed about 40 people and decided to bring all game development and graphic design operations to the UK. By the next year, they launched 8 new "made in the UK" games and doubled their workforce.

Relocating to Halesowen with a staff of about 200, the company launched a third casino brand in Mr Spin before the end of 2016.

New offices opened in Taiwan in 2017 and in 2018 they launched 8 new games along with a fourth mobile casino, Dr Slot. With a staff of nearly 300, the balance of the year sees the company churning out an average of one new game each month.

By 2019, more than 400 people were employed by the company, and continued to amass industry awards as they launched its fifth casino site, Cashmo. Slot Factory was formed.

Slot Factory Software and Games

The Software

With their experience in releasing new skins to encapsulate common games, the company can provide white-label solutions to customers who want to launch their own casino brand.

The casino skins can be localized to just about any market with multilingual support staff and the ability to process multiple currencies. The back office is web-based so it's super secure and easy for operators to manage. Key reporting metrics encompass player activity and reports can be generated and reviewed from any place you can connect to the internet.

All games are built and delivered in HTML5 so 99.9% of all devices support them. With their own game engine under the hood, your white label can deliver branded content tailor-made for your operation.

The Games

Unfortunately for our readers as well as reviewers, Slot Factory does not seem to provide public access to their datasheets or even demonstration play. We were, however, able to locate descriptive text, screenshots, and/or Mp4 videos of about 25 games, which seems to account for the current catalog of slots.

The first game we explored was Woodstock Slots. The hippie-inspired game has 15 variable paylines and two feature games. A peace symbol acts as a wild icon substituting for all but the free spins symbols.

Three, four, or five Free Spins symbols on a paid-for win-line activate 5, 7, or 9 free rounds.

Feature symbols trigger one of two feature games. The Golden Submarine feature lets players spin four times for blue, red, or both amplifiers to turn up the win. The other feature is a mini trail game wherein you rack up multipliers trying to get to the restrooms.

Skipping the mid-era game releases we looked at a few of the newest games in the catalog.

Cashanova Cashpots had decent art and a multi-level feature game. Bet levels can be raised and lowered but the gameplay is on 30 fixed paylines so players can't manipulate the volatility by lowering line count and raising their stakes per line.

Free spins in the Renaissance-flavored title are triggered by lining up roses in any order on a payline. Three, four, or five Roses trigger 5, 10, or 15 free games.

Lining up Cash Pot symbols triggers the two-part feature game. Here, we return to the multiplier trail game with values going into one of the cash pots. Landing on "Collect" will award a prize and end the feature. Landing on the wheel icon will activate the second bonus mechanic.

Spin the wheel to land on colored symbols which will multiply the value of the existing cash pots. If your spin lands on a broken heart, it's all over except for the crying.

One game we checked into had similar artwork in the Royal characterizations to an Arrow's Edge slot called World Leaders. The comic style with quirkily rendered caricatures is always refreshing.

We liked the fact that the fifteen paylines are variable. But again, scatters aren't really scattered as they must at least occur on a paid-for line. This may be a signature mechanic meant to imbue familiarity and loyalty in the player, but it could also be simply a case of tweaking the game engines ever so slightly, rather than introducing more complicated maths. Either way, it's a mechanic not commonly seen in modern slots games.

The feature game in this title is quite interesting. The player will see three curtains (with unique reels behind them). The Silver reel will reveal a multiplier. The Gold reel will then spin and will either award the base number, double it, or advance you to the Platinum reel. One of the Platinum reel positions here will award 500x bet.

The Final Analysis

While we would be excited to try these games for real money, we only found one title from Slot Factory on a randomly chosen company-owned casino site. Accessing the casino from a desktop computer the only options were to get it on Google Play, download on the App Store, or send to mobile.

It seems odd that we found no active demos available for desktop play.

We find comfort in the fact that Slot Factory is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the website states that the games are BMM certified (which they would need to be in order to receive a UKGC license for gambling software).

The emblazoned Malta and Curacao licenses are not redirectable by clicking, nor did we find a clickable link on one of the InTouch casinos we visited. That's not to say one isn't there, but we don't know which one if so.

As of review time, we were unable to find any active sites claiming the company's product. As that situation develops we will add trusted casinos to this page. Some reports indicate that the Intouch catalog will be included in the Iforium aggregation (65 games) however, as mentioned, we find about two dozen 'new' games not listed in the Intouch inventory.

If you happen to find the games LIVE for real money or practice play before we do, please leave a note or feel free to review them here yourself.

Unfortunately, without public data sheets or access to the pay tables and gameplay in demo and real mode, we're unable to render a verdict on the games.

As far as the company, we see a growing and successful enterprise behind Slot Factory and it will be interesting to follow the news and see where the venture is heading.
