General Information

Pirates Isle is a 5 reel, 25 pay line slot. Pay lines are fixed which means you will be playing all 25 on every spin. There’s no option to play just 1 or so on. The minimum bet is just $0.25 per spin; with the maximum being $6.25.

There is also a side bet that is used to trigger one of the bonus games. You must be playing this extra bet to trigger this feature and win the jackpot. The amount of the side bet will depend on how much you bet per spin. It increases in increments of $0.05 each time you bump up the bet per spin.

Theme

As you would expect, Pirates Isle is a pirate theme. But this is no ordinary, generic pirate. The slot takes on a cartoon like style with animated symbols and amazing graphics.

Skeleton Keys

The skeleton keys are an important part of Pirates Isle. Not only do they make winning combinations, they can be collected to increase the number of free spins awarded, and multiply your wins.

There will be 5 different colored keys. Get 2 or more to create a winning spin. The top prize for getting 5 gold keys is 1,200 coins when a wild is used.

If you happen to create a win with a colored key, and a wild skeleton key, that color key is locked on the reels to award extra bonuses. Unlocked keys are only good for the bet level they were unlocked on. If you unlocked keys wagering $1.00 per spin, no other bet level will have keys unlocked.

Wild Symbol

The skeleton key with flaming red eyes is the wild symbol. This only appears on reel 3. This is a grouped wild that usually shows up in pairs of 2 or 3. Sometimes you will only get 1 wild, but chances are you will get at least 2 wilds.

The treasure chest is the normal scatter symbol. Three or more will unlock one of the coolest, interactive bonus features.

Once activated, you will be taken to a treasure map where you must pick an X on the map. One of three things will happen – You will get a treasure chest, a map, or a ghost.

If you find a treasure chest, you will be awarded a prize bonus. And, if the lock s color on the chest matches a key that you have unlocked, your prize is tripled.

If you find a treasure map, you are awarded a random bonus as well as new map where you get to pick again. You can do this up to 5 times.

Finding the ghost pirate will stop the treasure map sequence and award you up to 100 free spins. The number of free spins awarded is random. But, if you have all keys unlocked, your number free spins is tripled. This means you can get up to 300 free spins.

During the free spins, the skeleton key wild is active on reels 2, 3 and 4. You can also win an additional 15 free spins any time 3 or more treasure chests appear in a spin.

Progressive Jackpot

The progressive jackpot is won in the Broadside Feature. This feature is triggered when 3 or more pirate ship symbols appear on a normal spin. You must be playing the extra bet for this feature to be triggered.

The Broadside Feature will have your pirate ship exchange blows with enemy ships. Each time you defeat a ship, your prize level is bumped up a notch. The round ends when you defeat 5 ships, or you have been defeated.

During the feature, you will find special ships called Spanish Treasure Ships. Defeating these will move you up the prize ladder faster. You will need to defeat these to win the jackpot. There are 10 levels of prizes, and only by defeating these special ships can you reach the 10th level. If you do make it to the 10th level, you are awarded the progressive jackpot.

Another cool part of the Broadside Feature is the option to bet up to 5 times your original bet that triggered this bonus round. Essentially, prizes can be multiplied up to 5x if you choose. But be careful, you may not win the battle which would lose your bet.
