Lightning Squad is a video slot game released by William Hill Gaming. This game has a three dimensional Japanese animation style and a theme based on its own surreal fantasy characters similar to those seen in Anime cartoons. There are four main characters of this unique series: Electrocutee, Voltish, Ramblo, and Boltram. The theme is somewhat reminiscent of Pokemon or other similar Japanese cartoon series’. The background music features a high action dubstep soundtrack that has a videogame style theme to it.

Lightning Squad is played on 20 pay lines with 5 reels over 3 rows. The game has an Auto Play feature and a unique leveling system for each of the four main characters, allowing for bonuses and complex wins. When lightning strikes a character that character “levels up” until it reaches level 20 and rewards a jackpot before reverting the character to level 1 again.

Wild Symbols in Lightning Squad display a circle of fire with the word Wild across it. There is also a Bonus symbol displaying a coin with the word Bonus across it, and when the Bonus Symbol appears on reels 1, 3, and 5, a Bonus round is awarded in which all four characters will battle until only one remains and its corresponding feature is awarded. That character is then selected and levels up until it reaches level 20 and gives a unique game feature.

Voltish awards 24 Free Spins and 3x Wild multipliers, where Wilds appear on the middle reel and randomly give a x2, x3, or x4 multiplier witch each Spin. Ramblo awards 21 Free Spins and leaves only the four highest paying symbols active, and will electrocute inactive symbols so that only active symbols are shown during free spins. Electrocutee awards 19 Free Spins and a 10x multiplier is awarded. Boltram will award 1 Free Spin and 18 Free Shuffles with 7x Wild symbols. The Free Shuffles will use the same symbols from the Free Spins and will shuffle them around for new outcomes and rewards.

Two random Features can be awarded at random at the end of any regular spin. The first will turn normal symbols into Bonus symbols giving you access to the Bonus Round. The second turns multiple symbols turned into the top paying symbol allowing a chance at high value wins.
