Fantasy meets reality in Tower Quest by Play N Go.
It’s tough not to find an online casino with a fantasy themed slot. Most come off as generic, but Tower Quest puts that stigma to rest with its beautiful design and bonus rich gameplay.
Upon first spinning the reels of Tower Quest, my impression was that of a well-made slot that took a unique approach to an otherwise stale genre. The way you trigger the bonus rounds is intuitive and fun. The idea of having goals to meet in order to set of bonuses keeps you interested and stuck to the reels.
Tower Quests design is wicked. It has a medieval feel with its dragon statues guarding the top of the reels. All symbols have an archaic style with skeletons, orcs and the heroes that are there to fend off the evil powers.
With a maximum payout of 500x your line bet, Towers Quest not only offers stunning graphics, but also plenty to win.
Tower Quest Rules
Tower Quest has 5 reels and 20 variable pay lines. You can set betting options to fit your needs, play all or maybe just 1 pay line at a time depending on what your feeling that day. I recommend playing all lines since you will win the most.
Coin values also have a wide range of options. The minimum bet is $0.01 with the maximum bet per coin set at $1.00. Up to 5 coins per line can be played per line as well. This puts the maximum bet using 20 lines at $100.
Playing Towers Quest is just like any other well-made slot. All controls are located at the bottom of the reels. You will have a bet max and an auto play button along with all betting buttons.
Tower Quest Symbols
Jack through Ace card symbols will be the predominant ones appearing on the reels. The Ace pays the maximum of 60x your line bet when you get 5 in a row.
Being a fantasy slot, the remaining symbols are all based on what I call an epic battle between good and evil. The lower paying theme based symbols are a green orc, blue skeleton, and a red dragon. The heroes are the higher paying symbols with a female elf, and a male elf being the top pay out of 175x your line bet.
A stacked wild symbol is represented by the magical tower. Wilds appear on all reels and can cover the entire reel at any time. It also pays a max of 250x your line bet when you get 5.
Scatters are represented by a blue and a red elixir jar. Each color will fill a bar to trigger the free spins.
Tower Quest Free Spins
When blue, or red elixir jars land on the reels, they start to fill their respective meter bars on the sides of the slot. When you have filled up enough of the meter bar, you can activate one of 3 bonus rounds depending on how far you have filled the bar.
The red meter is on the right and has 3 different free spin rounds. The first level is the Empowered Wilds. You will get 5 free spins, with all wild wins multiplied by 3.
At the second level, you can activate the Wild Adventure free spins. You will receive 5 free spins with the 2 hero symbols acting as wilds.
The final level is the Ever Burning Wilds. Again, you will get 5 free spins with a sticky wild showing up at the start of each spin.
When you activate the blue meter, the first level is the Tower. One free spin is awarded while the entire middle reel turns wild.
Triggering the second level will award Battle of the Wilds. All character symbols will turn wild for 1 free spin.
One free spin and the Towers of Dark Power is active at the 3rd and final level. During this free spin, reels 1, 2 and 3 are all wild.
The blue levels are easier to fill which is why you don’t get as many free spins. 5, 10, or 15 are needed to activate each level. With the red jars, 10, 20 and 30 are needed.
One of the cooler parts of the meter bars is that you can activate it when you wish. Once the first bar is met, you can trigger the first level, or wait until you get it to the next level. If the meter is halfway between the 2 levels and you activate the free spins, you will be awarded the lowest level you have reached. But, you won’t lose all the elixir in the bar. What wasn’t used will remain in the meter.
Tower Quest Bonus Game
Tower Quest has one final symbol and a bonus game. The evil elf is the bonus symbol and acts like a scatter that will trigger the bonus game when you get 3 or more.
Your goal is to beat the Evil Wizard and defeat the Dark Tower in a card game to the death. If you have ever seen Magic the Gathering, the bonus game is very. Each card has an attack and health value. You roll the dice to determine the value of your card. If your cards value is higher than the wizards, that card destroys his.
There will be 3 cards for each player. How many cards you defeat will determine your final prize. This is where you can win the max bet of 500x your total bet.
Tower Quest Final Verdict
I love the addition of the card game bonus round. I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to card games, so naturally this appeals to me.
What's really exciting is how the bonuses are set up. Having to fill a meter instead using the traditional method makes it fresh and exciting. Also, being able to choose when to trigger the free spins makes you feel even more in control of Tower Quest.
Between the multiple bonuses, a large top payout, and the interactive style of play that’s been integrated, makes Tower Quest a unique slot that should be played, and experienced for yourself.
