Pearls of Indiaby Play'n Go
Screenshots
Another fantastic release by Play N Go. I knew I was in for an epic slots gaming experience as soon as the dramatic theme hit the screen. The superb visuals extend further from the loading screens to the reels, and I must admit this is one slot that has been able to position itself as a genuine themed game that captures the magic of a culture.
A sequel to Aztecs Idols, Play N Go’s reel hero Mr. Wilde sets out on a new adventure in a new continent. His mission is to make his way through incredible India and visit every Hindu temple to find the elusive Wall of Shiva, Wheel of Brahma and Statue of Vishnu. Just like most of the slots based in Ancient Egypt, much of the Pearls of India online slot game is centered around the treasures that make up part of the India civilization.
You’ll run into a variety of ancient monuments combined with the playing card symbols and if you haven’t guessed it, the wild symbol is Rich Wilde himself who appears on the 3 middle reels (reels 2, 3 and 4). Compared to its sequel, Pearls of India is enriched with 5 more paylines to make a total of 20 and a completely different way of play.
I did also find some significant improvements in terms of graphics, where the Aztecs Idols slot is mostly based on Indiana Jones, Pearls of India brings in some in amazing characters including the protagonist Mr. Wilde himself.
Pearls of India Rules
The 20 paylines of Pearls of India are not changeable, but you can however choose coin values and place up to 5 of them on each line. You can bet from just 20 credits and the average return to player rate is 97 percent.
There’s an interesting table on each side of the reel set, and a multiplier bar on the right hand side which will increase with every winning spin. The left hand side features a bonus bar, that triggers the bonus game once you collect 25 bonus symbols.
Each time there’s a win on the reels, the respective symbols will disappear while others will take their place. The multiplier increases from x1 to x2 to x4 to x6 and x10 after each successful win.
Pearls of India is also available as a mobile version and looks and plays just as well as the original. Gameplay is smooth even when demanding bonus features kick in, and the bet selection options aren’t available on the main screen, but you can locate them via the Menu icon.
Pearls of India Symbols
The symbols in Pearls of India showcase great detail, with the wild symbol being Rich Wilde. The game goes out of the way to bring a player closer to the Indian culture and symbols such as Nandi regarded as Lord Shiva’s vehicle, the Indian god Ganesh, a silver hand and statue head lead the way in terms of regular game symbols.
High cards Ace, King, Queen, Ace, Ten and Jack populate the reels as well, while Pearl, Indiana Temple and Rich Wilde serve as three special icons. These are what you want to appear on the game screen more often. Pearls of India features tumbling reels, which brings in even more symbols for consecutive wins and increasing multipliers.
Pearls of India Bonuses
There are several bonuses offered in Pearls of India starting with the most important Temple Bonus. The reason this is the one to watch out for is because it is guaranteed to trigger often. Each time you land a temple symbol anywhere on the reels, it will populate the meter located to the left of the reels.
Temple Bonus
Collect 25 and you’re entitled to a mini-game in which you pick up one of three temples to pick between the following features:
Statue of Vishnu Bonus – here you get to pick pearls from Lord Vishnu’s hands until you get a duff one.
Wall of Shiva – choose the best tile on a wall for big prizes.
Wheel of Brahma - you will get a chance to spin the wheel to earn wins according to the paytable.
Cascading Symbols – when you strike a winning combo, those symbols will disappear and be replaced with new ones that will take their places. This gives you a chance to land consecutive wins on the same spin. This also increases the multiplier located at the right of the reels to increase your wins to a maximum 10 times.
Free Spins – landing 3 pearl symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 will get you 10 free spins at the current multiplier level. During the spins, you can collect pearls for extra free spins and increasing multiplier values. When you accumulate 5 pearls, you will be granted additional five spins and you can re-trigger them for a total thirty spins.
Gamble Feature – you can click the “Gamble Button” located below the reels to gamble each win. This gives you a chance to maximize your wins by guessing the suit or color of the next playing card. The win is limited to 5 guesses or 2500 coins.
Playing N Go slot releases never seem to disappoint me and Pearls of India is no different. I did find the spins a little hard to trigger, but there were lots of extras to keep me glued to the screen.
