The first Medusa slot was such a success and had a wide fan base, Next Gen decided to come out with a sequel. Medusa II takes everything that we loved about the first installment and throws in some more features to make it even better. Medusa is known as the Greek mythology queen who can turn you to stone if you look in her eyes. The theme revolves around the classic Greek look with its various symbols that depict certain icons of mythology. Medusa II Rules

Medusa II has 5 reels and 3 rows of symbols. It uses the 243 ways to win pay out method where you obviously have a ton of ways to win. Betting requirements include playing 25 coins per spin. Coin amounts range from $0.01, up to $2.00. Minimum bets are just $0.25, with the maximum being $50. Game play controls are that of most Next Gen slots. Easy to use and full of customization. You can control sound, coin bets, auto play up to 100 spins, and a gamble feature.

Medusa II Symbols

Symbols are well designed and nice to look at. Even the 10 through Ace symbols. All of the 10 through Ace symbols will pay the same amount regardless of which one is hit. A little disappointing if you ask me. Other symbols that relate to the slots theme include a gold ring, archers bag, stone statue, Medusas medallion and a gold helmet with a snake on it. Then gold helmet is the highest paying symbol that awards 400x your line bet when you get 5 in a row. The wild symbol is Medusa and replaces all symbols except the scatter. When she lands on the reels and makes a winning combination, she becomes animated with a nice cut scene. She’s also the highest paying symbol and can reward you with 500x your bet if you get 5 in a row. The scatter symbol is the Medusa II logo and can trigger the bonus round. It also pays out a maximum of 400x your line bet with 5 in a row.

Medusa II Locked Reels

One of the more creative features is the locked reels. At any time during regular spins, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 reels could become locked. Locked reels put matching symbols next to each other and will spin at the same time. This feature helps create lots of wins and even some very big wins.

Turned to Stone Stacked Wilds

Another random feature is the turned to stone bonus. From time to time during a normal spin you will see a Greek soldier appear and try to attack Medusa. Medusa uses her eyes to turn the soldier into stone. But all is not lost. The stone faced soldier will reveal a stack of wild symbols on the reels that can create some epic wins.

The free spins are triggered when 3 or more of the scatter logo appear. This gives you 10 free games with locked reels. Every spin during the free games will have at least 2 locked reels. All wins during free spins are paid at the coin bet of the spin that triggered the free games.

Stone Cold Fun

I found Medusa II to be very rewarding in both entertainment and value. It has numerous features that many slots do not use. Locked reels are exciting and the fact that they happen during regular spins as well as the bonus round make it that more exciting.
