Goldbarz is one of the original NextGen video bonus slots. The game has 5 spinning reels and 9 pay lines but players can choose to bet less lines if they choose. All pays are left to right and right to left. 5 of a kind pays only in one direction. The Thief is a wild symbol and appears only on reels 2, 3, and 4. It substitutes for any other symbol except scattered Safe icons. The prize is doubled when one or more Thief symbols are part of a payline.

The Goldbarz feature is triggered whenever three or more Safe icons appear in any reels position left to right or right to left. Up to 10 bonus games will be awarded when this occurs. In each bonus game up to 5 picks are made on a Keypad in an attempt to find two Keys to open the safe. Higher prizes are awarded, up to 250x triggering bet each bonus game, for finding the keys in as few picks as possible.
