Pontoon Professional Seriesby Net Entertainment
Pontoon is a popular Blackjack game that was derived in Australia. It has very similar rules to Blackjack, but also some very unique ones that change the game. NetEnt has a professional Pontoon that features HD graphics, and betting limits up to $500.
While playing Pontoon Professional Series, you can play up to 3 hands at a time. All actions are the same as a normal Blackjack game whereas you are dealt two cards with the goal to get 21 without going over and beating the dealer.
One of the main differences in this version is the terminology. In Pontoon Professional, hitting is called Twist; and standing is called Sticking. A dealt 21 is called a Pontoon which pays 2:1. There’s also what’s called a 5 card Charlie. This is when you make a total of 21 using 5 cards. The payout for this is also 2:1.
Splitting Aces twice is another difference in Pontoon. The ability to hit after a double is another twist to the game. Lastly, dealers must hit (twist) on all 16’s and soft 17’s (17 with an Ace.)
Perhaps the biggest difference in Pontoon is the tie. In Blackjack all ties are a push. With Pontoon, a tie results in a win for the dealer.
