IGSoft
IGSoft is an innovative online casino gaming company, originating in Bulgaria. They have been operating since 2001. Originally named Dobrosoft, the company has undergone many changes throughout the decades in business. Early on they started their own online poker platform, which led to rapid expansions and the renaming and rebranding in 2009. The name itself stands for Innovative Gaming Software Solutions.
The company has also expanded into land-based markets, with a presence in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Further years saw improvements in the software, relocating to new and larger offices, and general growth of the company. However, since around 2016, the company has been quite quiet on the news front. They are still active, as is evident from things such as adding support for cryptocurrencies, but other than this there hasn’t been much activity in recent years.
Poker Network
Whilst the software itself has had millions of downloads, and it emerged during the heydays of online poker, today it seems to have suffered the same fate as many other online poker networks. The boom is over, and the players have largely concentrated on a handful of major sites and networks, of which IGSofts poker product is not one. The company itself lists the software available in a variety of sites, but upon closer inspection, most of these have gone out of business since, or simply do not offer online poker anymore.
The software itself is available as a desktop client for Mac and Windows computers. Previously it was also available as a web-based client, but as this was based on the now outdated Flash-framework, it’s unlikely that this is the case anymore.
IGSoft Poker Network Features:
- Fully customizable to the clients' needs, from branding to custom features.
- Scalable with up to 45 000 concurrent players.
- Supports all the popular forms of online poker.
- Support poker tournaments, rake races, and progressive jackpots.
- Can be integrated into different casino platforms.
- Full back-office tools.
On paper, all this looks pretty good. Especially once you take a look at the possible tournament types, which are as extensive and perhaps even more varied than on any other poker network out there. However, the interface looks outdated and is in dire need of an update.
Conclusion
Whether you look at the poker products or the company itself it’s quite evident that things have slowed down considerably. The company seems to have mainly abandoned their network to its fate and concentrated on IT development instead. But here too the last updates are from several years ago.
We pretty much judge this poker network dead in the water, and it’s only a matter of time until the last mentions of it disappear altogether. There are vastly better options for online poker available to all players.
