iGaming2go was a white-label casino producer with a handful of games to their name. Not much remains of the company, apart from perhaps a few forgotten reviews of their slots. The latter are not available for playing anymore either. We do know the company aimed at providing a mobile-first product, and seems to have done quite well in building their platform.

The company started operating in 2012, with its location set in Slovakia. The first mobile slots were launched in 2013. The company quickly also partnered up with some of the biggest companies in the industry, such as Greentube and NYX Interactive, or massive online casinos.

This initial success was followed by considerable silence. In fact, we aren’t even sure when the company closed shop. It only ever released a dozen or so games, the last one around 2015. These games don’t seem to be available anywhere, and despite their modern approach for the time, the slots would be considerably outdated today anyway.

Online Slots

We have had a look at several of the games. Although they are no longer playable, we might as well go through the types of games that were available. You know, in order to save this bit of casino history for future generations.

Pretty much all of them follow a similar format. Either three or five reels, with usually five or nine paylines. Gamble features and bonus spins are the most common specials, with occasionally using other features like cascading symbols. The selection was relatively small and most games were quite similar to one another.

We can’t really say that these games would have brought anything remarkable to the industry. Apart from the part that they were optimized for mobile play. Even back the other better options existed, from companies that still carry on producing games.

Interpretation

It’s hard to interpret information that doesn’t exist. The company was established, produced a handful of games, and then disappeared. Not the first amongst casino producers to do such a trick, and not rare at all for new companies to fail within the first few years.

It’s hard to speculate on the reasons for the failure. Was it the games? They didn’t seem like anything extraordinary, yet they weren’t really that far off from the standards of the time. Or perhaps it was the mobile technology itself.

At the time the company started operating mobile games and mobile casinos were kind of a new thing. Many different solutions were tried, before we finally settled on the march of technology, and on the fact that today you can pretty much use any sort of media from any device connected to the internet. But a decade or so back you had to have specialised apps. It might just be that the solution the company provided quickly became obsolete.
