About the Company
Fazi Interactive is a producer of online casino games. The company is a division of Fazi, an electronics and equipment manufacturer which started out in 1991 and by 1995 began manufacturing a fully automated bingo system for distribution in south-eastern Europe. In 2005 they released their first electronic roulette games under the Byron name and by 2008 the company had a casino management systems installed in over 500 locations as well as more than 700 machines.
Fazi released their first slot machines to casinos in 2013 and today the company is one of the leading manufacturers of electronic roulette machines in the Balkans.
The company's online gaming platform debuted in 2015 and to date, they have produced about 25 slots, video poker, and table games for online casinos. They also offer a sports betting app for mobile and desktop end use. Some of their games can be found at Circus.be. They have also signed a partnership with BetConstruct, so the games should become available at more venues soon. Fazi has been attending important industry events such as ICE Totally Gaming for several years.
Software and Games
Starting with their table games, they offer a live automatic European roulette which runs off of one of their floor models. The demo video was jerky and we couldn't actually make out the ball landing in the pockets after several spins. TThe test internet connection was a stable 4.2 Mbps and the system used was an Oculus Ready Windows10 PC running Chrome browser from a US location.
The user interface is almost identical with HD Fazi roulette, which seemed to be an RNG game with recorded live dealer and wheel incidences for each of the 37 possible results. This time, we could see and hear the ball, but there was some lag and skip in the croupier's announcements and the audio seemed like a voice-over. Players have about 30 seconds to place bets after the completion of each spin. Instructions were well presented and clear. The user interface included video refresh and a replay facility. Players can toggle sound on or off prior to entering the game or during gameplay. Quick series bets such as Red Snake, 5/8, Orph, Big Series, and 'Zero' are available with the click of a button.
Video poker consists of a single game called Jolly Poker with a single coin bet, and a pay table that ranges from 3:1 for two pairs to 1000:1 for Royal Flush. We didn't analyze the paytable for RTP, and although the auto-hold feature seemed good after half a dozen hands, we didn't play enough to know if the scheme was optimal in regard to the paytable RTP. It did hold 4 to a straight even when it was an inside straight.
Three and five-reel slots are configured with between 5 and 40 lines. Not seeing any 1-3 line games we tried two titles expected to be three-reel. Mega Hot was a 5-real game with fruits and 5 win lines. The 27 line Burning Ice took several minutes to load and communication with the demo server was lost. On the second attempt, the game loaded immediately. As expected it was a 3-reel game with 27 fixed lines. features included scatters for a respin feature and mystery symbols awarded between 2x and 100x total stake.
The 20 payline Deep Jungle slot. Paylines were fixed on the 5x3 set with nice 2D oil painting style artwork on the reel strips. The game loaded quickly and the play was flawless. The game has a non-triggering scatter with pays, a regular wild symbol, and a special wild appearing on reels 2 and 4 that stretches on all neighboring positions. After about 50 spins it landed on reel 2 and filled 1, 2, and 3 - paying 20x total stake, or 20x line bet for each of the 20 paylines.
Giving one more game a try we clicked on Book of Bruno, a mobster-themed 10 payline game. The slot loaded quickly, had nice artwork and animations along with free spins and a special expanding symbol.
The Final Analysis
While it may have been the demo site server connection dampening our fun, we found the online roulette games less appealing than the slots. The video poker suite was also difficult to assess with a single game to sample. The slots were fun, and once the load times picked up gameplay was enjoyable. Players accessing deployed games at Circus.be and other online casinos shouldn't have the same slow-load with slots or latency and lag with the table games. We didn't find the slots to offer any earth-shattering feature mechanics or advanced animations, but they were good and we'd play some of them again.
