The Price is Right is one of my favorite TV shows. Many of the games revolve around guessing how much the price of something will be. I always play along, and my area expertise is in the higher or lower games. This is where you see a price, and have to guess if the actual price will be higher or lower.
Living thousands of miles away from where this show is made, my dream of winning it big was put on hold. That is until now!
Predictor, from Betsoft, is a fun game that puts my best skills to the test. It also lets me live one of my dreams of winning big using my uncanny talent for hi-lo games.
Technically this game is called ?redictor – with the question mark in place of the “P”. And technically, it’s one of those unique games that gives you the most bang for your buck.
The game is set on the backdrop of a stone mine. Numbers roll out in a cart and you have to guess if the next number will be higher or lower. This may sound mundane, but it gets better. There are many options to pick from instead of just high, or low.
If you want to know all the rules and how to play Predictor, I will cover every aspect of this quirky game for you right now.
Predictors Rules
The premise of this game is to guess what the next numbers will be in the following cart. There’s also different colors that you can try and guess. The number on the carts will be either red, blue, or green. This little twist lets you try and pick the color, the next number, or both.
Depending on what the number is will determine the odds that pay out for each guess. There are 48 numbers each game, so if the number is 44 for example, guessing that the next number will be higher will pay much higher odds than picking lower. This is because there are only 4 numbers that can be higher; while there can be 43 numbers that are lower.
Picking just hi, or low will pay smaller odds than the rest of the choices. Picking the color will be slightly higher odds. And finally, picking the color, and high or low will show the biggest rewards, since this is very hard to do.
Bet amounts range from $1.00, up to $100.
Playing Predictor
To start, you will pick the bet amount for the current game. Next, a cart rolls out with a colored number on it. Underneath the cart will be the various betting options. The big yellow buttons are the hi, or low bets.
The three sets of colored buttons are the colored number bets. The top and bottom ones on each color will let you pick the color, and hi, or low. The smaller button in the middle of each color lets you pick just the color of the next number.
When you hover over a betting button, it will display the odds that it pays right above the button layouts. This lets you know how much you can win by using this betting button.
If you choose correctly, you will have some options. You can either collect the win and start a new game. Bank half of your winnings and keep playing. Or let it all ride and keep playing. If you do keep playing and guess wrong, you will lose all the winnings you have won during that game. If you bank winning s at any time and lose, you do keep those banked winnings even when you lose.
On the side of the controls will be displays for your last 5 wins on the left. On the right will be the last 5 numbers that appeared.
The “Dump It” button lets you dump the cart to bring out a new one if you don’t like it. This will only be available on the very first cart that rolls out at the start of each new game.
Predict it to Win it
If you are tired of just hitting a button and watching reels’ spin with no interaction, Predictor can provide a nice break from the monotony. Higher limit players will get a rush out of being able to bet $100 a game. While smaller bankrolls can still get in on the action with its low minimum bet.
