If you have ever played Pai Gow poker you are familiar with making more than one hand out of the cars you are dealt. Deuces Wild Pyramid Poker is somewhat similar in that you receive five cards but can choose to bet on more than the five card hand. There is an option to bet on a 3 card poker hand comprised of the first three cards, as well as a 3 card poker hand comprised of the last three cards. A bet on the five card hand is required in this draw poker game, only then may you bet on the first three card hand, and after that – the last three card hand.
The pay table for the five card hand is fairly standard for deuces wild with the exception that any number of coins will return 800:1 for a Royal Flush. This is important for optimal strategy as the pay tables for the 3-card hands are not the same and the method of betting is constrained to bets on the five card hand 0,1,0 then the first three cards 1,1,0 and finally the last three cards 1,1,1. Another press of the Bet One button will result in a bet 0,2,0 etc.
