AsianLogic

AsianLogic is a rather elusive company. Rather than producing slots or operating online casinos, this privately owned group seems to be a conglomerate of different companies. According to the company itself, they employ several thousand people, and operate in Malta, Hong Kong, Gibraltar, Kenya, and the Philippines.

One of those companies is Megasportsworld, a betting company located in the Philippines. Other companies include Bayview Technologies, ESL, and Dafabet. The latter is probably the most important one when it comes to online casino gaming.

What’s It Got to Do With Online Gaming?

Besides operating Dafabet, it doesn’t seem like AsianLogic is really all that interested or invested in online casino gaming. They do not design or operate games, nor do they offer platform services. They are invested in online and land-based betting, but that seems to be the extent of their services.

On top of this, much of the company’s operations seem to be centred around other areas. AsianLogic in turn is just a parent, or holding, company for all the various operations. Some of which turn act similarly for other fields. It is unclear whether the company has ever produced games, and if they actually produce their own betting services or simply lease them from other companies.

However, when it comes to poker…

…it must be noted that AsianLogic used to run the Asian Poker Tour. They purchased the rights to the event in 2008, and ran it for around 15 years. The APT was finally sold to APT Events Private in 2022. Much history can fit between these two dates, but as this is mostly concerned with land-based gaming it doesn’t really fit the purposes of our article.

Unlike many other modern poker tours, it doesn’t seem like APT ever really did in-depth cooperation with online sites. Although, at times they did have sponsorships with different online sites. In comparison, the likes of Pokerstars seem to have rather organised their own tournaments, whilst APT simply toured different land-based casinos both in Asia and occasionally in Europe.

Conclusion

It’s worth noting that AsianLogic is a pretty massive company, especially in the Asian markets. But at the same time, they are more concerned with the day-to-day business of running retail operations as well as one of the biggest Asian betting operations online.

Whilst they have occasionally forayed into other parts of online casino gaming, they are by no means a software company, nor are they generally concerned about the direction online casino gaming is going. Their strengths and operations lie in other directions. For now, we rank them as a casino operator.

All this might of course change, especially now that the company is seeking to expand into European and other Western markets. But until such a time that this becomes reality, this small synopsis of the company will have to do.
