Ainsworth Game Technology Limited is an Australian publicly listed company (AGI) headquartered in Newington, Sydney, Australia. They have offices in the US, Europe, NZ, Macau and South America.

Industry insiders have known the Ainsworth name for over half a century; twenty years after establishing Ainsworth Consolidated Industries of Australia in 1933, the first Aristocrat slot machine was produced. After relinquishing control of the Aristocrat company (while still owning about 40% of it) Ainsworth came into the market as a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of slot machines in 1995. Today, Ainsworth maintains an integrated system that includes design, development, manufacturing, testing, delivery and in-field service of gaming software and cabinets, and has recently expanded their offering to the online market. The release was not a total surprise as about the time that competitor Aristocrat acquired the Game Account NetWork's nLive, remote game server (RGS), and internet gaming system (IGS), Ainsworth announced a non-exclusive agreement with GAN to deliver their games. And about the time that another competitor, Bally went live online, we saw a new non-exclusive agreement with them to integrate Ainsworth and Bally games over Bally’s Remote Gaming Server. This means that on land and online the Ainsworth name will spread along with their games in all regulated markets. This B2B, or business to business model, along with integrated platforms delivering games from several competitors appears to be confirming itself as the wave of the future.
