AGT Software AGT Software logo

agt_software_reviewAGT Software is a fairly big name in the industry, even if as a brand it’s not quite so known amongst players. The company hasn’t probably chosen the best possible abbreviation, as it can be confused with another long-time gambling company. We wouldn't be surprised if a rebranding would be in the cards some time in the future.

The above makes it hard to dive deep into the history of the company, especially when combined with the fact that this casino software company just hasn’t made much noise overall. We’ve established that their website came online sometime in 2019, but beyond that, it is impossible to say what has been going on with the company. To add to this, the team itself seems to only really have activated in 2022, at least if you check the news portion of their website.

However, they do have quite a considerable number of games available. And in different categories too, including some that are relatively new additions to the whole genre of online casino gaming. Likewise, some of the slots and other casino games take on rather peculiar and unique themes and setups.

Is there depth to all of this, where can you play the games, and what else do we know about the company? Step in, keep reading, or check out the online casinos that offer these games.

The Classic Games

the_classic_gamesOnline slots seem to make up the majority of the selection. The company seems to have produced several dozen of them per year. There are two ways to procure such a quantity: either by inheriting them from some other producer, which might be the case, or by simply using the same setup with a different theme.

Now, we’re fairly certain that these games are blueprint copies of each other, but they don’t really veer that far from each other either. Take a look at the following slots:

  • Wizard
  • Around the World
  • Extra Spin
  • Aladdin
  • 100 Ice Fruits
  • Arabian Nights
  • Book of Set
  • Wild West
  • Infinity Gems
  • Firefighters
  • Stalker
  • Tesla
  • Aliens

Pretty much all of the games come with a five reel setup. This is combined with either three or four symbols a piece. These classic games use paylines in different numbers. The lower limit is usually ten, whilst the upper limit is around 100 paylines. And whilst RTPs, and maximum payouts might change here and there, it seems that most of the games use the same paytable.

Something else that tends to be uniform are the special features. You’ll find wilds and scatters, as well as the gamble features. And these too are much the same across many of these titles.

But there’s something more…

…when you look at the latest titles. These finally break away from the same old mould, and dare to experiment with different setups, features, and reel configurations. However, usually this just means extending the size of the reels, or using different paylines setups than the norm.

We can conclude that the company isn’t very adventurous, though they might slowly be heading that way. At the same time, they certainly push out very large numbers of casino games. These might not be that much different from each other, but then you also don’t need to play each and every one of them. There’s a good chance that for anyone who is looking for classic slot gaming the company has their needs met.

Other Casino Games

other_casino_gamesA couple of card games can be found in the selection. Tens or Better, Jacks or Better, and Aces and Faces bring out the classic video poker. On top of this, you also have access to keno, which is pretty much the original item when it comes to number games.

Then there are the arcade games. It’s somewhat perplexing that a company that otherwise goes for simply the classics, chooses to create games that differ so much from what are the standards of casino gaming otherwise. Now, it’s not a very big selection of games, at least so far. You’ve got Rock, Paper, Scissors, and Spinner. In these games, the player is served with a selection of odds, which determine the payout. But only if you place your bet correctly.

But perhaps more importantly, you will find a game called ToTheMoon. This is the AGT Software take on crash games. Again, a rather rare situation from the sweet comfort of classic slots to move to what is one of the newest genres of casino gaming, originating from the world of cryptogaming.

This is sort of a multiplayer game, though the selection of one player does not affect that of anyone else. Except perhaps for envy, when you see them cashing out right before the crash. The game function is very simple. A bet is placed, the game starts with an increasing multiplier, and the goal of the player is to cash out before the game comes to an end. Obviously, if you fail to cash out before the end you will simply crash and lose your bet. The player can customise the experience to a degree, mostly by changing the themes from Cupid to Spaceship, to Santa, and more. You can also see previous multipliers, though obviously these do not affect the current run in any way or form.

And What About the Paintings?

This is another set of games that stand out amongst the masses, and in contrast to the normal slots. What you are presented with is a painting, or rather a set of paintings, from famous authors. Each game bears the name of the author, such as Van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Gauguin, and so forth.

These games offer some of the biggest wins there are amongst the selection of casino games. Each time a round is played the screen comes divided into sixteen parts. The possible wins depend entirely on how many of the pieces correspond to a certain painting. Get the whole painting and you get the biggest possible win, or get a minimum of eight pieces to get the smallest possible win. Of course, the gamble feature and the jackpot feature are also available in these games.

Daily Spins and Jackpots

Interestingly enough, many multitudes of these slots come with a jackpot. In fact, they can be found linked to pretty much all of the slots. This is a random feature, as jackpots always are, and the pots are progressive. The play itself has the player drawing for lucky cards, the size depending on how good the poker hand the cards can form.

We all know bonus spins, whether they are no deposit or part of some other promotion. AGT Software has come with its own variety, called daily spins. These seem to be something that the company itself can offer these to interested players, just like the individual casinos can. They’re also tied to player activity. Perhaps not something supremely revolutionary, but they do offer something for players who like to spend their time in the same slots.

In addition to this, there are lucky spins, a weekly promotion where players get more and more spins as the days progress, provided that they return to playing the same games.

Conclusion

AGT Software is something of an open question mark. We do know the company originates from Riga, Latvia, and that they have been operating for a handful of years. They’ve pumped out a considerable number of slots. In this area, there are considerable differences. Some of them are almost like copies of themselves, whilst others break the conventions and go for something entirely new. Not to mention the crash games.

Jackpots, daily spins, and other promotions show some promise. On the other hand, there still seems to be ways to go until they can compete with the bigger software companies that run things like slot tournaments and networked promotions.

The company doesn’t seem to hold any official licences, though we do know the games are tested to fit with different jurisdictions. One more peculiar fact about the company is that its games are not in widespread distribution. They are expanding their reach, but they seem to be set on doing all this work by themselves. This is in stark contrast to most other slot producers partnering up with distribution networks and white-label providers.

All in all, there are plenty of games to browse, and they definitely cater to plenty of different player groups. If you happen to find a casino to your liking from our list of suggested sites, it would be a good idea to take a look at a variety of these games. Especially when you can get your hands on those daily spins, jackpots and lucky spins!
