Catch the Waveby The Art of Games

At first glance players may think this is a game of blackjack, but it is far different. It is mostly a hi-lo game in which you try to end up with more cards than the dealer by guessing whether the next card you get will be higher or lower than the current card. If you “Catch the Wave” by guessing correctly 6 times in a row you win 6x your bet. If your guess is correct you move on our stand and if you guess wrong you lose.

The dealer has slightly different rules from the player. If his first card is 7 or lower he must call High and if it is 8 or higher he must call Low. If the dealer’s call is wrong, even by matching his previous card, player wins. If the dealer survives his first call he must stand on any 5 – 10.
