Pai Gow Poker is derived from the Chines tile game of Pai Gow. It is easy to learn and fun to play. In this version of the game 53 cards are used; a standard poker deck plus an added Joker. The Joker is can be used for Straights and Flushes, other wise it will count as an extra Ace. Place your bet and deal the cards to receive 7 cards as the dealer receives 7 cards. The objective is to form two poker hands – one with five cards and the other with two cards. The only rule to observe is that the 5-card hand must be superior to the 2-card hand. For example, you may not have only a pair of Tens in the 5-card hand and move a pair of Jacks to the 2-card hand. Fortunately, you may simply press the “House Way” button to let the gaming software separate your hands to the highest possible result.

In order to win the wager you must beat both of the dealers hands. If one hand wins and the other loses the game is a tie. If one hand wins and the other is a tie the game is a loss as you must beat both hands. As can be seen from the screen shot below, Player's High hand has a pair of Aces as does the Dealer (Joker is Ace in his hand) and both the Player and Dealer have tied a Pair of 7's in the Low hand. This game was a push and the bet returned to player.
