Baccarat from CTXM has all the sophistication and elegance of the big table games called Punto Banco or Chemin de Fer – originally an Italian game it was introduced to France in the 1400's and has had several simplifications made to the rules over the years. In this version the shoe (decks of cards) are not passed from player to player, the cards are dealt to you from a dealer. The object of the game is to get as close as possible to 9 without going over. The bets possible are on the Player, the Banker, or a Tie. Betting on Player nets even money on a win, on Banker even money minus a small commission (odds are in favor of Banker) or on a Tie which pays 10:1, 9:1, or 8:1 depending on the casino you play at.
