Pai Gow Poker is an adaptation of an ancient Chinese tile or domino game that is now played with cards. The game is played with a 53 card deck, standard plus a joker. The object of the game is to make the best 5 and 2 card poker hands from seven dealt cards. The dealer will do the same. You can win both, lose both, or win one and lose one for a net tie. Of course You can also tie one or both as well. The one over riding rule in determining how to split your cards is that the five card hand must be superior to the two card hand. The game simply won't allow you to play the hand otherwise. Of course the easy solution is to plress the “House Way” button and the software will separate your hands to the highest possible outcome.
