Pontoon

Pontoon might be an older 21 game than the Blackjack most of us play in casinos today. Online it is dealt from an 8 deck shoe and the cards are shuffled before each round. A lot of the rules are the same as Blackjack but there are a few unique features that make it more interesting to some people. Getting a five card hand that doesn't bust out pays 2:1 just like a “Pontoon” (blackjack). The dealer has no 'up' card and you can split cards of equal rank and re-split giving you a total of no more than three hands. Hit is called “twist” in this game and stand is called “stick”. You can't stick until you have at least 15 or a 5 card hand. Dealer takes pushes even if you are both dealt a Pontoon.
