The Curious Machine is a hot new slot from Betsoft that is a wonder of imagination and design. It has a steam punk look to it and game play that will amaze you.

There’s even a story that goes along with the slot. Not often do you see a real story line and plot that unfolds before your eyes spin after spin. I won’t ruin it for you, but you should know that the evil General is out to get Miles and his Curious Time Machine.

Bonus rounds have you traveling through time and escaping the General. See dinosaurs come to life; a vortex that will literally have your reels spinning. And much more.

Curious Machine Rules

Miles’s Curious Machine was built with 5 reels and 30 pay lines. Complete control of the machine is right at your fingertips. Pay lines can be adjusted, up to 5 coins per line; and between $0.02 and $0.50 per coin.

Auto play and double up features don the reels for even more customization and enhanced game play. The double up feature is a game that can be played after any winning spin. It’s my favorite double up game of any slot so far. The robot assistant will appear and you have to guess which hand the coin is in. If you guess correct, you double your win. Guess wrong, and lose your winnings.

The Curious Machine Symbols

I’m happy to say there are no generic symbols in this slot. A slot so well designed deserves original, and great looking companions.

There are blueprints, a future city, pressure gauge, machine controls, the General, the robot and Miles. Three or more of any symbol will trigger a win. Miles is the highest paying symbol at 2,500x your line bet.

The Vortex symbol is the wild. It appears on all reels and will help to create more wins. If it lands and does not create a win, it will spin the symbols touching it, trying to produce a win.

Other symbols include 2 scatters. A dinosaur that triggers free spins; and a second set of machine controls that activates the bonus round.

Blast From the Past Free Spins

When 3 or more dinosaur scatters land, you get free spins. While playing the free spins, you will get a random multiplier of up 5x before each spin. Any win on that spin will be multiplied by the random multiplier. Each spin will grant a new multiplier.

Upon triggering the free spins, you see Miles activate the time machine and you travel to a 2nd screen that lands in prehistoric time. After the 10 free spins are finished, a big dinosaur chases Miles as he hurries to go back to the present.

Travel Through Time

When you get 3 or more of the second scatter symbol, the Travel Through Time feature is activated. This is a 2nd screen bonus feature that has Miles and his Robot friend trying to hide the time machine from the General. Bonuses can be won during this feature.

Reel Rewind – Second Chance

The final feature is the Second Chance. This is a random bonus that can trigger after any spin not met with a win. One of the 5 reels will rewind and bring new symbols up that could possibly create a win.

Stunning and Fun

The Curious Time Machine left me wanting more. I couldn’t stop playing and wanted to see more animation. The 3D graphics really shine during the cut scenes for the bonus rounds.

The graphics are possibly the one downfall to this slot. It does slow the game down somewhat on computers that aren’t strong enough, or if you have a lot of processes running. It is a flash game that can be played on mobile devices and computers without having to download it.
