Pinocchio is a character that has deep roots in my childhood. I grew up watching the movie made famous by Disney. The wooden boy whose nose would grow when he told a lie was a failed attempt at getting me to stop lying as a child.

The Pinocchio that has now been made famous by BetSoft is not based on the classic Disney version of this tale. It’s actually based on the original 19th century story from an Italian writer. A bit of history lesson for you on this slot. You get entertained informed and learn something that will be only valuable on a game show from my reviews.

This version of Pinocchio is my favorite. It looks better with tis 3D graphics that BetSoft is notorious for. It is way more entertaining. And has a story that actually rewards you in the end. Not just try to get you to stop lying.

Pinocchio Rules

Pinocchio has 5 reels with 3 rows of symbols. There 15 pay lines that can be adjusted for each spin. Up to 5 coins can be played per line with a value ranging from $0.02, up to $1.00 per coin.

Controls include auto play, and the popular gamble feature. The gamble game in Pinocchio is a simple heads or tails coin flip. After any winning spin, you can play this game by choosing if the coin will land heads or tails. Pick correct and double up your win. Guess wrong, and lose your win.

Pinocchio Symbols

There are many symbols involved with this video slot. So pay attention.

You have your basic symbols such as the 10 through Ace. As well as theme based ones that will include a clock, wood lathe, show sign, Pinocchio in a cage, real boy Pinocchio and wood boy Pinocchio. Gepetto, a wagon, scrolls and books will also appear. But, these symbols are very special, just like Pinocchio is.

Pinocchio Worlds

The different worlds you can adventure through is one of the more interesting aspects of this slot. It’s also one that I’ve never seen done before. It really is unique and creative; but you will need to understand how these worlds work.

Upon starting the game, you will be in Gepetto’s workshop, this will be the standard game mode. Upon collecting various, special symbols you can unlock other worlds. These will be real boy world, wood boy world, The Stage and The Classroom.

Workshop World Features

In the primary world, Gepetto is the scatter symbol. When you get a Gepetto on reel 3, it will trigger the world scroll feature. The scroll will appear from right to left re-spinning the reels as it moves.

Secondary Worlds

While in the workshop, you can collect special book and wagon symbols. These will take you to new worlds when you collect 10 of each.

The stage world is triggered once you get 10 wagon symbols. You will see the meter above the reels that will let you know how many symbols have been collected.

While in Stage World, the wagon is the scatter and will trigger the wild scroll feature when it lands on the middle reel. A wild scroll will cover the entire reel and remain a wild reel for 5 spins.

When you collect 10 of the book symbols, you will enter classroom world. In this world the book symbol is the scatter and when it lands on reel 1, 3 and 5 it will trigger the wild scroll. The wild scroll moves down the reels and trigger a re-spin of all other reels as it moves.

Each world gives you 8 spins to start. Any time a win does not occur in a winning spin it decreases the number of spins left in that world. Once those 8 spins are gone, you return back to the workshop, standard world.

Real Boy Mode

Real Boy mode is triggered when you collect 5 of the Pinocchio symbols that have a real boy on them. While in real boy mode, all real boy symbols turn into wilds. You stay in this mode until you collect 5 mini wood boy symbols.

Fairy Awesome Spins

The blue fairy in Pinocchio was the one who actually transformed Pinocchio into a real boy upon Gepetto’s wish. In the Pinocchio slot, she’s green, but she grants re-spins. And just like most women I’ve met, they can be confusing. Sorry ladies!

She will trigger a re-spin when there is no win and reels 1, 2 and 3 stopped, preventing a 5x combo. The fairy will appear and re-spinning one reel.

A Magical Slot

Yes, the bonus features can be a little overwhelming, but that’s not really a bad thing. Simply put, keep collecting symbols, and keep spinning the reels. The game will do all the hard work for you.

I have never found a slot that was so creative, and in depth. It can be seen as on homage to the original Pinocchio tale where Gepetto was a creator with a crafty mind. That spirit runs wild in Pinocchio the slot and makes one of the most magical slots created.
