Atlantic City Blackjack is one of the most common variations of the game you will find in both online, and live casinos. Made popular in Atlantic City casinos, gamblers choose this style of Blackjack over many others due to its generous house edge at only 0.36%. One of the lowest of any casino game you can find.

The rules are quite favorable to the player since you are not limited in choices such as splitting and doubling down. Another reason it’s so popular among casino go’ers.

Wager Gaming Technologies has created their own version of Atlantic City Blackjack that can be played at any online casino using this software. Here are the specific rules and how to play.

Atlantic City Blackjack Rules

Atlantic City Blackjack uses 8 standard decks of 52 cards. Players are dealt 2 cards face up, with the dealer getting 1 up and 1 down. Any time the dealer shows a 10 or an Ace, they check for Blackjack. If an Ace is showing, players are offered insurance at a payout of 2:1 odds.

Doubling is allowed with any total 2 cards, but only one card Is dealt and your fate is in the hand of the dealer. Splitting can be done with any 2 identical value cards. i.e. 8-8, or two cards with a value of 10. After splitting, you are allowed to double down only on the first 2 cards after the split.

Dealer must stand on a soft 17.

If the player is dealt Blackjack, the payout is 3:2.

How to Play Atlantic City Blackjack

The game starts with selecting how much to bet. Up to $200 a hand may be wagered. You can also play between 1 and 5 hands at a time.

After bets are placed, click the deal button and you are dealt your two cards. You can then decide to make your play by clicking on the corresponding button. After the dealer makes their play, all bets are paid if won, or taken if you lost.

To start a new hand, you can click the re-bet button to keep the same bet amount for a faster deal. Or, click the clear button to select a new amount with which to bet.

The rules of Wager Gaming’s version of Atlantic City Blackjack are basically the same as everyone else’s. Or else it wouldn’t be called Atlantic City Blackjack. The main advantage to playing this version is the number of hands you can play at once.

Graphics are up to par with most versions I have played. Game play, and button controls are tight with no confusion when playing.
