Caribbean Stud Pokerby The Art of Games
Perhaps the most famous of house-banked online poker games, Caribbean Stud Poker is based on standard poker rules and hand rankings. Here you will attempt to beat the casino rather than other players. Payouts depend upon the ranking of your hand as well as if the dealer has qualified with at least an Ace and King in his hand. There is also a progressive side bet that can pay as much as 500x for Four of a Kind, 10% of the jackpot for Straight Flush or even 100% of the pot for the elusive Royal Flush hand.
The dealer must qualify to win the betting game, but dealer does not need to have at least K/A for you to win the progressive jackpot. Payouts for the Ante bet range from even money for High Card or any Pair to 250:1 for a Royal Flush. It takes a thick skin to play this game as many times you will have an excellent hand and not be able to collect from the Ante pay table because the dealer had a null ranking hand. Although the progressive bet has a high house edge (when jackpot is not staggering) it is oft well to place it to win at least something when the dealer does not qualify, at player's discretion.
