All American Double Upby Net Entertainment
All American Double is one of the newer additions to the NetEnt family of video poker games. NetEnt isn’t exactly known for their video poker, they are world renowned for their slots however. That isn’t to say that their lineup of video poker games are inferior.
In fact, All American Double Up was created to answer the call from fans that loved the original All American Video Poker so much.
This version isn’t all that different from its original, but it does add the popular double up feature that players love. Hence the name Double Up added to the end. The Double Up version can be played with up to 25 hands just like its original as well. Another feature that I personally love.
All American Double Up Rules
Double Up is a 5 card draw style video poker game that follows the Jacks or Better rule. This means the minimum requirement for a winning hand is a pair of Jacks.
The game is played using a standard 52 card deck that is shuffled after every hand. One draw is allowed after the original deal, and all cards can be replaced, or held. The one rule I do not approve of is the automatic hold of a pair or better. This does help newer players to the game, but can be a nuisance for those who know how to play video poker.
You can still draw any card, even when the automatic hold is in place, but it’s just another step you have to make. Also, I found on at least occasion, that I made a mistake thinking that was the end of the hand. I personally feel it doesn’t do much to help the player out and should be done away with.
That’s possibly the only flaw I find in All American Double Up, as the rest of the game is superior to most.
The ability to play up to 25 hands helps me forget about this tiny imperfection in the game. You can play 1, 5, 10 or 25 hands at once. All extra hands played will be shown above the main hand with their cards face down. All cards held in the main hand will be held throughout all other hands in the top screen.
Once you re draw, all hands are dealt new cards and wins and losses are determined.
Betting Options
Game controls and betting options are much like a NetEnt slot. The buttons look similar which is a plus if you have played NetEnt slots before. The switch to playing their video poker games will be that much easier.
And just like most of their slots, you can play between certain ranges of coins and coin value. Up to 5 coins can be played per hand, each coin level has their own respective pay out as well. Coin values range from $0.01, up to $10.00.
Depending on how many hands you are playing will determine the betting range. Playing just 1 hand changes this range between a minimum of $0.10, up to $10.00. At 5 hands, the range is between $0.05 and $2.00. Playing 10 changes it to $0.02 and $1.00. The 25 hand mark sets the betting ranges at $0.01 and $0.50.
The maximum bet playing all 25 hands is still a hefty $125.

Gamble Feature
The gamble feature in All American Double Up is a simple guess the color game. After any winning hand, you can play this double up game by clicking the gamble button. You will see 5 cards face down. The goal is to guess if it will be red or black. If you pick right, you double up and can play again. You can play up to 5 times if you guess correctly each time. But, if you lose once, you lose all your winnings.
